Chapter 9

3rd Person View

Ruby woke up from her alarm clock. She looked at her calendar and then realized today is Thursday. Her Birthday.

Suddenly she felt her whole body got excited. She stood up with a smile, "Today's going to be a blast!"

She then got dressed, her usual red hood, dress and red heart shaped eyepatch. She quickly went down the staircase, only to be greeted by her Grandparents.

"Happy Birthday Ruby!" Both of her grandparents said. "For your birthday, I baked you a cake. And it's your favorite, a red velvet cake." Her grandma said.

Ruby's eyes then lit up, she was only able to eat this whenever there is a special occasion. And today is a very special occasion for her.

Her grandma then gave her a box, inside it is a half cake. "We'll eat the other half when you get home. Go share it with your friends." Her grandma said as she hugged Ruby.

"Now run along, you shouldn't be late on your birthday." Her grandpa said as he opened the door. "I'll see you two later then." Ruby said as she waved goodbye.

"Hmm... I wonder if Dyrroth likes cake?" Ruby thought as she walked towards the Academy.

When Ruby entered the room, she was instanly greeted by her classmates. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY RUBY!!"

She was suprised, she didn't think everyone in the room will greet her. "Ohhh, thank you everyone. And how did you all know?" Ruby asked, a little curious why everyone knew.

"Well you see, we kinda told everyone. BUTJUSTINOURCLASS!" Kagura said with Lesley behind her back.

Ruby then looked around and saw Dyrroth still at the corner. Fighting a..... bag?

Ruby then thanked everyone and proceeded to the demon. "What you got there?" Ruby said suprising the demon. Dyrroth then quickly placed the huge bag behind him and replied, "N-Nothing."

Ruby then seated on her chair and getting her equipment guide book. "Oi Ruby! H-Hap-py... Bir- Birthd-day..." Dyrroth greeted her, stuttering as well as blushing.

Ruby then laughed at the demon's attempt. "Thankss!" Ruby smiled at Dyrroth, making him blush harder.

"Idiot don't get flustered." Dyrroth said to himself.

It was lunch time, Ruby took the box of cake, well... half of a cake. Lesley and Kagura waited for her outside. The trio then walked together towards the cafeteria.

Back at the room, Dyrroth was struggling to keep Ruby's gift which was a dragon still. Out of the blue Gusion showed up and went to Dyrroth.

"WOAH! Is that the dragon?!" Gusion practically shouted, making everyone turn their heads. Dyrroth then gave him a I will murder you look. "I MEAN BACON! YES DEFENIETLY BACON. And not a dragon." Gusion corrected.

"Why am I stuck with an idiot?" Dyrroth whispered under his breath. "Just help get this BACON to the cafeteria." Dyrroth said, hiding the fact it's a dragon indeed.

"Why not leave it here?" Gusion asked. "ARE YOU MAD? And what? Let it run away?" Dyrroth shouted, again turning everyone's head towards them.

"I mean LET IS SPOIL AWAY!" Dyrroth faced palm. "Lets just go." Dyrroth gave up on talking and started holding the dragon.

The two then held each end of the bag and slowly made their way to the cafeteria.

It took them 10 minutes to get to Guinevere's table, probably because Gusion accidentally dropped his end since the dragon bit him.
