Chapter 8 (Guinevere)

3rd Person View

The cafeteria was huge, it had more than enough sits and chairs for everyone. You'd think that with this many students, no one could possibly be alone. Well they were wrong. A certain red head, doll like face was in fact all by herself.

Guinevere was lonely. Her two companions, Gusion and Dyrroth was not with her. The two were both absent.

"Why did they have to be absent on the same day." Guinevere thought, annoyed that her two only friends were nowhere to be found.

She silently ate her food until a tray was slowly placed down in front of her. She looked up and saw the infamous cold Marksman, better known as the Death Chanter.

Guinevere was suprised to see the marksman but still played calm. "Oh.. It's you." Guinevere said, trying to act that she doesn't care.

"Mind if I sit here, Miss Violet?" Granger said, not showing any emotions. The red head then nodded, allowing him to sit across her.

"What brings you here?" Guinevere asked, a little curious. I mean who wouldn't be? Guinevere was eating with one of the most dangerous marksman in the academy.

"You're friends with the Prince. Any friend of his, I must interrogate." Granger said looking straight at her.

Guinevere instantly understood what the marksman meant. She gets why Granger had to interrogate her. I mean she is friends with the most dangerous demon in this academy.

"Very well then, what is it that you want to know?" Guinevere asked, giving all her focus to person across her.

"Has the Prince ever harmed or threatened you?" Granger asked. Guinevere only shook her head in response.

"Next, what is the Prince planning? He has been going back and forth to the Abyss since 3 days ago." Granger asked Guinevere as he took a bite at his food.

Guinevere knew the answer, but doubted herself if she should tell him. Dyrroth actually told her and Gusion his plan, that's why she knew.

Granger actually knew why the demon was going back and forth to the Abyss. He just wanted to make sure the demon wasn't lying.

"Tell me first what will you do with this information. Dyrroth is my friend, I don't want him to be mad." Guinevere said. She wanted to make sure if it was safe to tell Granger, not wanting Dyrroth to be mad at her.

"I want to make sure he isn't planning to do any malicious things. Silvanna's orders." Granger said. Guinevere knew who Silvanna is, she is the crowned princess of the Moniyan Empire.

"What, you're her personal spy or something? Loosen up a bit. Whenever I see you, you always look like a bodyguard." Guinevere said to Granger, not fearing the Marksman at all.

Granger was suprised. It's not everyday that a person can talk to him so casually. I mean his friends talks to him casually, but other than them, no one.

"Hmmm.. May I ask? Are you not afraid of me or anything?" Granger asked the redhead who was now eating. "Why would I?" Guinevere asked with food in her mouth. Granger now couldn't help but smile. "Aren't you a princess? That's not very lady like to do." Granger asked with a smile on his face.

"I can do what I want. And plus, this is the only place I could be free." Guinevere said, this time without food in her mouth.

"Hey! I got an idea. Do you have plans after school?" Guinevere asked cheerfully with a smile, while moving her face near Granger's.

Granger then moved his head back a little, since their noses were a couple of inches away from each other.

"Yes, I am going to Silvanna's place along with Alucard." Granger replied, making the girl feel rejected. "Oh...." Guinevere then slowly backed off, her smile now was replaced with sad look. Granger then looked at Guinevere's eyes. It looked like a tear could fall any second.
