Chapter 14

3rd Person View

Today was a week away before Valentine's Day. Ruby recalled what had happened last Christmas.

Yes, Queen Alice came to their house, but she didn't expect that the Queen would bring Terizla and Thamuz.

Practically everyone in the neighborhood were frightened. It wasn't really reassuring that the Queen of the Abyss is 20 meters away from you.

But to Ruby's surprise, everything actually went well. Thamuz, and Terizla actually didn't fit the door frame, so they had to take their supper outside.

The Queen had conversations with Ruby's grandparents and herself. She questioned Ruby on why she befriended Dyrroth.

Ruby actually explained the whole story and the Queen was quite amused. Terizla and Thamuz couldn't help but join in as well.

Terizla and Thamuz teased Dyrroth on being weak. They laughed at the part where Ruby told them about the time she swung her scythe at Dyrroth for calling her a pet.

Lesley and Kagura also visited, they were shocked to see Terizla, Thamuz and Alice. Ruby then explained to them the situation and reassured them that everything was alright.

As Ruby was talking to her friends, Alice was chatting with Dyrroth. The Queen said she liked Ruby and asked if he had plans on marrying her.

Dyrroth got flustered, but he quickly answered that he had no intentions of being more than friends. The Queen didn't believe this but just nodded.

Thankfully nothing went wrong. But before Alice, Terizla, Thamuz and Dyrroth left. Alice gave Ruby a bloodlust axe, she said use it only in emergency.

Her grandparents were very delighted to see Ruby happy. And that's how Christmas went in the Butterfly's.

Now Ruby's main problem is next week's Valentine's Day. Sure she had no one to give chocolates to, but she still wanted to participate in it.

"Okay so I'll give one to Lesley and one to Kagura." Ruby said to herself. As she was walking through the hallways  she saw Dyrroth with Guinevere.

"Why are their only two of them? Where's Gusion?..." she muttered. It was a weird feeling that she didn't like Dyrroth being alone with another girl.

"What is wrong with me?..."

In Gusion's place

"Like I said, what's the point in giving chocolate to a person if they're not gonna give you one as well?" Dyrroth asked as he was dangling of a chandelier.

"It's an act of showing your feelings, idiot." Guinevere said as she was mixing a bowl of chocolate.

"Well I plan on giving Lesley a magenta colored pistol." Gusion said proudly as he laughed like a moron while Dyrroth was amazed."

"Gee, so romantic..." Guinevere said as she rolled her eyes. While Dyrroth and Gusion where amazed by the pistol, Guinevere was finishing her chocolates.

"Why so many?" Gusion asked, seeing that there was about 5 trays. Guinevere then face palmed herself, couldn't believe that she hangs out with 2 idiots.

"So you don't want some?" Guinevere asked. Dyrroth then suddenly answered, "I'll take a bag."

After a few more hours, the trio was able to finish everything. They cleaned up and sat on the couch.

"So who will you guys give your presents to?" Guinevere asked as she laid her head on a pillow.

"Lesley, definitely her." Gusion quickly answered. The two then looked at Dyrroth and waited for him to answer.
