Sarah couldn't sleep. For an hour now, she'd been tossing in her bed. She
could still feel the lingering sensation of Gerald Salinger's earth-shattering
kiss. Leaving before dawn would be a good idea, she thought. She didn't
want to face him tomorrow. Sarah had never felt anything like this. How could
a simple kiss affect her so? She feared it will happen again just like what
he said. The next time it happens again, her resolve might only crumble. Yet
she was drawn to him, his enigma so beckoning. Sarah, started to punch
her pillow. He was starting to make a mess of her. Sarah shifted her body
sideways, plumped her pillow and started to sleep. She closed her eyes and
hugged her pillow tightly.
In his study, Gerald Salinger sat on a chair beside the window. He had fixed
himself a glass of wine. He stared at the view of the rice field outside. He
couldn't even get a decent amount of sleep even when he's totally tired from
a concert. Not even after being intimate with any woman could make him fall
asleep. Though he could be knocked-out by getting drunk, he always felt

His seduction backfired earlier. He needed to be subtle this time to slowly
tempt her into his arms. He wasn't planning on anything serious. Before the
end of the week, he would have her. Gerald smiled at himself. Since the failure
of his first marriage, Gerald had never able to trust women again. Tomorrow,
he will start his scheme.
Sarah woke up early and started riding her horse. It took her about thirty
minutes to round the village. It was a Monday, the workers were visiting their
neighbors in a nearby town buying all kinds of stuff they need. Sarah won't be
expecting to see anybody until early tomorrow. She took her horse reins and
started walking towards the barn. She glanced at her watch. It was almost five
o'clock in the morning and was quite cold. The sun was beginning to rise. As
she neared, Sarah could hear someone bustling in the barn. After tying the
horse reins around a tree, Sarah immediately quickened her steps. She
slowly peaked in one of a window outside the barn. At first she could only see
the muscled planes of the back of the man. Curiously, she moved forward to
take a clearer view. When she realized that it was Mr. Gerald Salinger, she
