Anthony was frantically pacing outside the birthing room. The doctor had just
kicked him out because he was 'interfering with the birth' so to speak. He was
a total mess. He flopped down on the chair, thinking of Rachel and their baby,
as well as their relationship. They had come a long way he thought.
*Flashback*
In an effort to win Rachel's heart and just out of love for her, Anthony finally
dumped his girlfriend again, this time it's definitely over. During the course of
Rachel's pregnancy, he had been flying back to the Philippines whenever he
could, spending time with her as much as possible. They went shopping for
the baby, planned the nursery, and went in for regular checkups and anything
else that was needed. When it wasn't about the baby, Anthony would just
spend time with Rachel. He hadn't felt contented like this in a long time.
Anthony was drawn out of his thoughts by the loud ringing of his cellphone.
Taking it out, he saw that it was his sister Aubrey. He was tempted to end the
call since all she did was pester him about Rachel these days. On the other
hand, he'll get an earful later on if he didn't answer right now. He took the call
and was greeted by an excited voice.
"My darling brother!" Aubrey all but shouted," How dare you make me wait!
Have you properly declared your love to Rachel yet? You're such a lovesick
sap..."
"Hi Aubrey, nice to hear from you too..." Anthony groaned. It wasn't that he
didn't like his sister. Aubrey Wilson was an internationally acclaimed super
model who retired early and opened a high-end fashion boutique in Milan.
You would think that she'd be busy with her business and yet his sister
managed to comment about everything his life. Not to mention his marriage
