Sarah's return flight to New York was delayed. Tony had picked her up and he
rushed her to the office. True to his word, Angelo and Ria were already
waiting for her at the office. Angelo ushered Sarah into the conference room
where Gerald Salinger, his lawyers and a few associates from Sony Music
waited. He then proceeded to introduce everybody as well as his own lawyers.
"Sarah, I'll leave it to you. I'll be at the office with Ria." Angelo said but Ria
withdrew her hand from him and ran up to Sarah.
"No! I wanna stay Mama!" Ria said as she grabbed ahold of her mother's leg.
"Ria, mommy needs to work right now." Angelo said trying to calm Ria down.
"No! I wanna watch Disney!" Ria said with a pout.
"I'm sorry but could you excuse me for a second?' Sarah said to her
associates. She took Ria back to her office where her playroom was, Angelo
followed along. Ria was having a fit but Sarah managed to calm her down and
promised her that they could go later. Angelo stepped in and suggested to Ria
that they play a few games and have a snack to pass the time.
Sarah returned to the conference room and apologized for the interruption
and business proceeded as usual. The meeting was good in Sarah's opinion.
Various issues were ironed out and a few requests were made here and
there. There were a few arguments between lawyers due to technicalities.
Sarah sat there and listened while her secretary was busy taking down notes.
During this time, Gerald Salinger never took his eyes off her. Sarah was
keeping herself prim and proper, she couldn't break face in front of all these
people.
Meanwhile, Gerald Salinger was starting to get pissed off. He sort of knew
Sarah was here and he didn't expect her to throw herself at him. But she was
treating him like she didn't know him. And it turns out that she had a child with
Rozzini. For some reason, Gerald felt betrayed. They hadn't had contact for
two years and now this? Gerald was seething in his chair and wasn't paying
attention to the proceedings. Sarah noticed this and called his attention.
