"Raven...."

"Raven...."

"Wake up....."

"Raven..."

Raven was silently awakened by Robin whispering in her ear. "What?" She looked at him confused. Was it morning already? She looked out the window to see pitch black outside. "Raven...I'm sorry to disturb you but..." "But what?" Robin beckoned to a lady-in-waiting by the door. "Your mother requests an audience with you m'lady." She said. Raven groaned but got out of the bed.

"She's waiting in the library." The lady-in-waiting said before she left. Raven looked to Robin. "What?" He asked. "Come with me." He got up from the bed and took her hand. Together, they walked down the deep stairway into the library. Over there, Arella was waiting for them, wearing her white gown. Azar was there too, in her red cloak.

"Mother, what is going on?" She asked. Arella looked from her to Robin before nodding. "It's time for your final test. The test of soul." Raven's eyes widened. It was early for a test of soul to be held. It was supposed to be held tomorrow. "It is tomorrow. Just a little over midnight." Azar responded, as if reading her mind. Raven's grip on Robin tightened.

"Through that door lies Azarath's own test for you. What it is, I do not know. But be steady and trust your heart." Azar said, beckoning to the door which Raven and Robin had been living in a little less than a week ago. Raven's eyes were blank but Robin saw the fear through them. "It's alright. You're going to be fine." he whispered in her ear. "I...I...I'm not so sure. This test is sort of random. Azarath can choose to test you on anything and everyone's test is different." Raven murmured. "Don't worry. I'm always with you. Not physically but we have a bond. You are never without me." Robin squeezed her hand in reassurance. She sighed.

"Are you ready?" Azar asked. Raven nodded and turned to Robin. He gave her a smile which she returned weakly. Azar opened the room and Raven entered. She was enveloped in a cold air, the room had suddenly become 3 times as large. In the middle of the room stood a mirror. "What do you see?" A strange male voice asked her.

Raven looked into the mirror and saw a reflection of herself. But the mirror switched into showing a collage of her exploits on earth. The people she saved, the friends she made and most of all, the family she gained. The picture switched into all the chaos she had caused as Trigon's pawn. The people she killed, the helplessness she felt and most of all, the fear when Robin saved her. The mirror rippled again and she changed back into the reflection of herself.

"Answer the question." The voice said. Raven sighed. This test was strictly subjective, there was no right but there was a wrong. 'Follow your heart' Azar's voice echoed. "I see myself. I see a girl who was born to do bad things, who had intentionally wanted to hide until the day when she became the gem, the portal, the victim of a prophecy. But in the midst of that hiding, she found a family who loved her, who didn't care who she was and together they fought evil. But when the time came to fulfill that prophecy, she tried to hide. Something she wouldn't have done if she had never found that family.

"But in the end, it was that family who freed her from her prophecy. Who freed the world of what would've been the destruction of mankind. And it was that same family who gave the girl hope. And she used that hope to bring about the end of the destroyer and the destruction that she herself helped cause. The Teen Titans, they are that family. They are my family."

The mirror rippled and dissapeared. She found herself face to face with two portals. "The first is where you will be able to start anew. You will forget everything and your life will be changed. You would have a normal life. Without all of this. You would never be princess of Azarath and never have done anything that you have done in this life. But in the second portal, you retain your memories. However, Trigon will return to once again wreak havoc on the world. And this time with you having no choice but to once again fulfill your prophecy a second time. Choose one. And hurry, time is ticking."

Raven considered her options. On one hand, she had always wished for a normal life. Where there were no prophecies and most of all no fears and  nothing to hide. But she would lose all of her memories even with the Titans. Was it really worth it?

On the other hand, she could retain and go back to remain with the Titans. But once again, Trigon would return. Her fears ignited for the second time. Could she really deal with it?.
