The Princess Test

Chapter 30

Robin ran to Raven's side on the stage while the Titans in the cage looked around, confused. "HELP!" Cyborg screamed. "RAVEN! ROBIN!" Starfire called. Raven looked determinedly at Wrath. "Let them go Jared!" She called. "Would be happy to sister but on my terms." Raven glared tanks but said "Fine, what do you want?"

Wrath looked to her. "I want the throne. Give up your position as heir and bow at my feet. You and all your stupid friends. And in return, I will let your friends go and kill you in front of them" "Raven don't!" Beast Boy called. Raven looked at Wrath, what choice did she have.

"Fine, you win." She handed Wrath the crown and got to her knees. Robin looked at her, shocked. "Raven! What are you doing?" He asked her. "There is no choice. Now let my friends go!" She called to him. Wrath laughed maniacally. 'What do you think I am? Dumb? No, I think I'll keep them, as TROPHIES!" He blasted an aura of gold light to Raven who was caught unguarded by the attack and fell backwards.

"No...why Wrath?" She asked weakly as Robin ran to her and helped her get up. "Because sister. I WANT TO! YOU, THE PEOPLE'S FAVOURITE! YOU ACED THE EXAMS LIKE THEY WERE NO MORE THAN CHILD'S PLAY. YOU DON'T DESERVE THE CROWN! And now, like it or not. I am their king." Wrath let out a sinister laugh and began attacking Arella. "And you! You die NOW!" Arella groaned in pain while Azar managed to resist for a while. The heroes looked on fearfully for Raven but could do nothing since the arena prevented them from helping.

With a breath Azar called to Raven. "You are the true heir to the Azarathian throne. Take your place. Apprentice." With that Raven realized that she was right. She worked hard, studied day and night and prepared everyday. Looking at Wrath, she felt her eyes glow white with power and with a hit. Blasted Wrath. "AHhh. YOU'RE GOING TO PAY FOR THAT!" He said but all of a sudden, the crown on his head flew off.

It flew farther and farther from his reach until at last it was caught by Raven's outstretched hand. She placed it on her head and blasted Wrath furthur. "You want to know something Wrath? You never was, never were and never will be the King. So long as I stand here, you will NOT HURT ANYONE!" She blasted him again. Her cloak suddenly changed colour into a white cloak and her hair grew long. A symbol of her strongest form.

Wrath only chuckled. "Wrong decision sister." He pointed a hand at the cage. "NO!" Raven called out in rage and engulfed Wrath in her powers before he had a chance to blast. She moved her hand this way and that, slamming Wrath into walls, floors and everything that was in sight except for the people. Finally, she threw him into the steel trap doors in the far corner.

"Take note, brother, while I'm still here, still standing. You will never hurt another innocent." Raven said. Then, flying to the cage, she chanted her mantra and the cage dissapeared. The heroes fell out and landed on the ground. Raven herself took to the stage and relaxed, letting her eyes go back to normal. "You did it!" Cyborg hugged her. "Yeah. I did." She smiled at Robin, who smiled back.
