The Princess Test

Chapter 29

              In the morning, everyone gathered in the arena to hear the final results. They had been alerted of the fact that the siblings had taken their final test in solitude last night. Finally, Azar herself came to the stage where all the siblings and the Queen sat. She waved her hand, gaining everyone's attention.       

                 "Attention all of you. I have the results of your test last night and all the monks have calculated your performances over the past week. We will soon announce the crown Prince or Princess of Azarath. This prince or princess will take over the throne when the Queen retires. However, for those who fail, they will be banished from Azarath forever. First of, the results of last nights test.           

             Azar turned to Lust. "Lust, you have shown to want to do whatever it takes to get what you want. It's not a bad trait but it is not a good one either." She focused on Greed next. "Greed, you want too much of everything. And you are selfish. A bad trait if you ask me. But all in all, it's the end results that count." She requested Gluttony to stand up next. "Gluttony, you are always thinking about food and enjoy life too much. But you do know how to negotiate, it's an alright."           

              "Sloth!" Sloth stood up slowly. "You are lazy and slow but your slowness has a benefit. You tend to think things through before acting on them." Sloth sat down and Envy was called. "You Envy, desire everything and I mean everything. Not a good trait when ruling the kingdom but a good trait in terms of will. And Wrath." Wrath stood up, excited to hear what they have to say. "The kingdom feels you will misuse your powers and therefore it instantly decided that you will not and never will be king. You have been banished." Wrath's mouth dropped open so wide one would think it fell to the floor.           

                "Sit down Wrath. We will do the banishment after one of you has been crowned. Raven" She called. Raven stood up nervously. "You are one of a kind. You love your people, will do anything for them and even sacrifice your own life. You don't see yourself above others and you love and treasure your family dearly. You also trust them and believe that they can control you if you go too far. For that, the kingdom is confused but impressed. You may be seated." Raven sat down.                

             'May I have the Queen stand up to bestow the crown on the soon to be heir to the throne of Azarath?" Arella stepped up and a guard came on stage with a crown. "Now, the monks have calculated your performance in the recent tests and took into consideration the kingdom's reccomendation. The sibling we have chosen has shown many leadership abilities. This particular sibling knows when to fight and when to stand down.The sibling is also very versatile and thinks before acting and is therefore able to find an opponents weakness. This sibling is also in the recommendation of the kingdom itself. And it is...."         

           Azar took a breath before she continued. "The Princess Raven!" Cheers erupted and Raven stood, shocked but went to Arella. "Raven Roth, you have shown throughout these tests that you will make a fine ruler. Just and wise, you treasure those around you and will do anything for them. The attributes of a great Queen. Also, the kingdom says that 'Trigon will not be returning.' if that means anything to you."             

             Raven smilled and recieved her crown happily. This was it. She would become the ruler of a great Kingdom, but...what about earth? Before she had a chance to ask, Wrath erupted into rage."A GREAT QUEEN HUH?!? WELL LET'S SEE HOW GREAT SHE WILL BE WHEN I KILL HER FRIENDS!"               

       From the ground, a hole opened and out came Cyborg, Beast Boy, Starfire, Silver Swan and Dr. Fate emerged in a gigantic cage. Raven, Robin and the other present Titans gasped.
