A/N: Come on guys. Don't you like this story? i know it's a bit short and all but I'm trying. I'm making a note now, until I get at least 3 votes/comments, I won't post anymore.
Over the next week, Robin felt more tired than he'd ever been. And that's saying a lot since he's had intense training from the best. The years of continuous hand-to-hand combat, gadget, criminology and detective work had nothing compared to endless hours of helping Raven study. The task was simple, bring Raven any book he could find on Azarath's long history/people/community and etc or any spell books. However, that was easier said than done. For one, the books in Azarath were all written in Sanskrit, a language Robin did not have much experience in. For another, the books had no titles like 'History of Azarath' or 'Azarath, the people'. In fact, most had titles that sounded like actual story books like 'I changed the world.' and 'War on two frontiers, the story from a royal point of view'. However, actual story books also had titles that sounded like it was non-fiction like 'Trigon's invasion of Azarath',
So you could imagine how hard it was for Robin to bring the right books. And since this exam was to be among one of the most important in her life, Raven had been clearly on edge ever since the first day. Whenever he brought a book she didn't need or took too long to find it, her eyes would immediately turn red and he would be forcibly thrown out of the room to land on the hard ground of the Azarathian library. Another thing was that Raven and most of her brothers worked long hours into the night and only got around half an hours sleep a day which exhausted Robin to no end. Though Raven had been more flexible on this and insisted he sleep while she studied.
Robin had happily obliged on his part there. But even then, he rarely got more than a few hours of sleep, though he was more than capable of getting enough sleep. But something bothered him and it was regarding Raven. He had sensed it, it was a mix of the feelings of sadness, hope and will power. Raven wouldn't tell him, but he could tell this Test meant more to her than she was letting on.
One morning, on the third day of studies, he woke up earlier than usual to the sound of sobbing. 'What the?' He thought but then noticed that the sobbing was coming from Raven. That came as a surprise, Robin didn't even knew she was capable of such emotion. He felt the urge to comfort her all of a sudden but was torn. 'Had she been crying this last few days?' He wondered. If she had, she wouldn't want anyone to comfort her. But after watching Raven suffer for another five minutes, he couldn't take it anymore. So, he got out from his bed and walked to Raven. "Raven....what's wrong?" He asked. As if she had just noticed, her shoulders stiffened. "Nothing." She said monotonely. "I'm serious. Tell me what's wrong." He implied. "Well.....I....." She said, as if unsure of what to say next. 'Ok, it's clear she doesn't wanna talk about it. But maybe I can....' He thought then an idea came into his head.
"Ok, if you're not gonna tell me what's wrong, come on." Robin said, taking hold of Raven's hand and pulling her out of the room. "What the? Let go, I have to study." She said defiantly. "Not until I'm done with you." Robin said, taking her out into the forest. She resisted for a while but ultimately gave into his strong grip.
