"Hm? What is it?" Xiao looks at you, turning his back and asks. 

"It's nothing." You say, slightly feeling down and really hesitating. But if you wanted to keep your friendship with him alive, you stopped yourself from saying it. 

"If you say so." He says before he starts walking once again. You follow from behind, but since you were walking slower, it seemed that he was the one that was walking faster and faster. 

Both of you had been childhood friends for a long time. So, it became a habit that you two would walk each other home. Well, of course you would go your separate ways once the other's house was close or you had to go different directions for something else. 

It has always been very lively with you two over these past years. Constant talks, laughs, and just bonding in general. There had been some arguments and misunderstandings but due to those, you two have gotten closer and closer. It has always been like this. You always feel comfortable and safe with him.

But everything changed once you fell in love. You had always admired him and everything but never once thought about what you thought of him. When you did... let's just say, you gradually fell in love when you thought about it.

Granted, everything was still the same as before. There were still conversations, laughs, and all that but, as time goes by, you were wanting more and more of him. And thinking about what he would think and how he would react when you confess, is just making you hesitate and making you stop everything you're trying to do.

Right now, you two were walking to the train station. Your house was past that train station, and to get to Xiao's house, you needed to get on to the train to get there so, he was always the first one to leave. But at least that gives you a good explanation as to why you two walk each other home. 

"...Are you okay?" He turns around and asks again. I guess it did seem slightly suspicious and obvious since you were walking with your head down, not smiling at all this entire time. Naturally, he would get worried for your well-being.

"I-it's really nothing..!" You say, waving your hands as to say that he should dismiss it. He looks at you suspiciously, raising his right eyebrow but, he then sighs.

"You can tell me whatever, okay? We've been friends for a long time so, if you need anyone to talk to, I'm always here for you." He says, flashing a reassuring smile. You feel yourself blushing, so you hide your face using your hands.
