(A/N: Modern AU.)

"Xiao! Are you going to hang out with me today?" You ask, coming up to the boy who was sitting on his seat, simply minding his own business in the classroom. He puts his arm up and places it on his desk, as he then lays his chin on his palm.

"...I'll think about it." He says, looking away. You tilt your head, wondering if he's busy or something. Maybe busy with club activities or something else. It couldn't be homework, since he's one of the known smart students.

"Okay~." You say after hearing his reply to your invitation. You simply go back to your own seat, feeling a little defeated but, since he said he'll 'think about it', means that you still have a chance. You sit down, and sigh as you lay your head on your table.

Both of you have been best friends for about 2 years now. Ever since you've met him when you first entered the school, it's just been non-stop conversations, hanging out, sometimes even sleepovers. Needless to say, you both were really close. Some might even say a little too close.

"Something wrong?" Tartaglia asks you, staring down at you due to the fact that you were laying down while he was standing straight up.

"...Nothing much." You say, dismissing it since it really wasn't a lot to talk about. 

"You sure?" He asks you as he then sits down at his assigned seat, which was the one next to you. You simply nod in reply.

"If you says so. Well, you should probably start getting up and ready. You don't want Mr. Albedo getting angry at you again." Tartaglia says, flashing a smile, attempting to reassure you or comfort you but his message basically made you worry even more. 

You start to sit straight up as you grunt. Well, Tartaglia said 'again' because you did accidentally sleep at his class. Unfortunately, he caught you sleeping and decided to wake you up in one of the worst ways possible.

With a loud sound. Not a phone alarm or the class bell loud. It was as loud as an explosion. Which utterly made your ears ringing, as well as ruining your entire day. Not only that but, he also called you into his office. Saying that if he catches you again, you would have to do all group projects by yourself. Which is a problem since mostly all of the homework he gives are group activities.
