(A/N: Modern AU. Part 1 of 3.)

Aether's POV

"I told you, you have to watch out where you're going! You might step on dog poop later today." I say, quickly putting on my bag and rushing to get out.

"Whatever you say. Now come on, we have to go." Lumine says, standing outside the door and waiting for me to finish up on getting ready. I wear my socks and then put on my shoes, as I then run out of the house and lock up the front door afterwards. And eventually, we started walking.

"Hey, what foot is going to get affected?" Lumine says, carefully walking and watching her steps. 

"Oh, the right foot." I say. She simply nods and then continues to walk carefully.

To put it simply, I have these dreams called 'psychic dreams' where I can sort of see the future to an extent in these dreams. At first, it seemed insane, but when I kept having these dreams that involved my surroundings, and them actually happening multiple times, naturally, I started to believe.

Lumine as well. She thought I was going crazy and asked me if I wanted to go to a mental hospital but, when I warned her about getting pushed and falling down on the floor, and it actually happening, she started to believe. And when I warned her about some more events that could happen, she successfully avoided them because of my warning. After that, she started to rely on me if something happens.

Well, of course only few people know I have this sort of ability. Family, and a few of my friends. Xingqiu, Chongyun, Bennett, Razor, Xiao, and Mona knew about it and wanted me come to them if something was going to happen. So I did what they said and they fully avoided accidents that would've probably ruined their day.

"Oh, was that supposed to be it?" Lumine asks, stopping and pointing at something on the ground in front of her. Lo and behold, it was the dog poop that she was supposed to step on. Well, I'm not so sure about it.

"I think so? I mean, I doesn't tell me what time and what place it is so, just keep on walking carefully." I say, starting to walk to school again. She rushes over to my right side and starts walking too. I chuckle, seeing her sigh in relief that she didn't step on it. 

A few minutes pass and we were at the school gates.
