This Ain't Just Newsies No More ~ Sprace & Javid

This is literally where it all started. Enjoy! :)

David has no idea what to do when he sees all the commotion. Are those the full-time newsies fighting over something? He's not from the upper class, but he knows he has more than they do.

Except his biggest worry is what influence watching a spectacle like this fight will have on his brother Les.

(A/N I have a younger brother Les's age, so I totally relate to David being an overprotective older sibling)

While he's not paying attention, someone barrels into him and knocks him backwards.

"Hey!" David shouts. He checks to make sure Les is okay. "What do you think you're doing?"

Then he looks at his assaulter. Around his age, (incredibly handsome), green-blue eyes, mesmerizing face. Then David focuses on his chest--or rather, what's hanging on it: a red bandana.

Is that what I think it is? David wonders. Is he...like me?

The strange boy sees where David is staring and winks. "I'm runnin'!" He says before taking off and having the big crowd of people rush after him.

David just stands there, holding on to Les's shoulder.

Then it occurs to him that the guy was answering his question.

A newsie for only a day and you see something weird, David thinks to himself. If I never have to see him or any of them again, good riddance.

Yet that face and the red bandana are still burned into his mind.

Yeah....much shorter haha. I just had a lot less to write here.

So back in the 1890's, guys wearing red bandanas was a secret sign of saying that they liked boys...and we know someone who wears a red bandana. Also, the only reason why the creators of Newsies created Sarah was for Jack to have a love interest so he doesn't come off as gay. HE STILL DOES.

Anway, these two were kinda like prologues. The next section is going to be moments from in the strike that I think are important for developing Sprace and Javid. Blush is so well developed on its own that it's going to be there but I don't know how much developing it's gonna need.

Anyway there you have it. The beginnings of two beautiful relationships.
