How?

Sirius Black wasn't dead. In fact, he was on his way back to his house right now, how? He didn't know either. Sirius had woken up in St Mungo's a week after his supposed death, and two days after that he was now on his motorbike about to land in the green behind his house. He unlocked the front door and marched in, met by a, 'piss of, Minerva.' Sirius frowned slightly, he knew that was Remus' voice, but it didn't sound like Remus. 'Oi! Don't talk to Minnie like that!' Sirius called up the stairs. 'What the fuck?!' Sirius was almost knocked over as Remus came flying down the stairs and straight at him, first hugging him, then standing back. 'What the fuck.' Remus repeated. 'Err... What was the address of our old flat, what date did I come back from my very first abroad mission with the Order and how many times a week did Marls used to come over?'

'67 Shaftesbury Avenue, London, 16th November, 1978, and three times a week if she could.' Sirius said without hesitation. Remus looked stunned. 'You fucking died?' He questioned. Sirius wanted to know how in the name of everything Merlin ever owned he was alive too, but didn't. 'I woke up in St Mungo's two days ago-'

'SIRIUS?!'

'Oomph.' Sirius was hit by two teenagers, both grinning like mad. 'Fucking hell, who died?' Sirius grinned hugging Harry and Hermione back. 'You! How the bloody hell are you here?' Hermione asked, 'it is actually him, isn't it?' She asked.

'Yes, Hermione, it's him.' Remus grinned. Sirius was sure this was the happiest he'd seen Remus since their wedding day, but he wasn't stupid, he could smell the alcohol from space. As Harry and Hermione hugged him again, Sirius eyed Remus pityingly over their heads, telling him he knew. 'Go and owl McGonagall and tell her, for me, would you?' Sirius asked the kids when they broke away. They both nodded, smiling and smiling, and ran off. Remus kissed Sirius first, hard, 'I thought I lost you.' Remus whispered as they fell back into a hug. 'I know, but I'm here now.' Sirius whispered back. They stayed like that for a very long time, just relieved to be back in each others arms.

'WHERE IS HE?!' A voice shrieked from outside, and Sirius finally broke away from Remus, chuckling. 'Hello Min- oomph!' Sirius had opened the door and been met by another fierce hug. 'Don't you ever do that again.' She said vehemently, choking back tears. 'I promise I won't almost die but somehow come back to life ever again Minerva,' Sirius said, then gave her one last squeeze before breaking away. Sirius was happy, so, so, so happy.

When they had finally got rid of McGonagall, and spent a little time with both the kids before shipping them back to Hogwarts, Remus and Sirius curled up on the sofa together, not speaking, just together.

'To the moon.' Remus mumbled, and Sirius could tell he was almost asleep.

'And the stars.' Sirius knew this was one last act to be sure it really was Sirius, because Remus would have never said 'to the moon' otherwise.

'To the moon.' Sirius repeated.

'And the stars.'
