"Air Canada Flight AC8995 terminal 3." The voice overhead spoke in a mono toned voice.

"Ok, we only have five minutes." Ezra mentioned as we took the last of our luggage from the taxi.

He gave the taxi driver his fare and then Lucy, Ezra and I made our way to the third terminal to board our plane to to Toronto. We passed the security checkpoints and boarded the plane. As we went down the rows of seats I realized that Ezra and Lucy would be sitting behind me and that I would be sitting the row in front of them next to the window. I love the window seat, but the problem is that i'll have to sit next to a complete stranger. Not that I mind, I mean, I've sat next to a billion strangers on a plane before. But I really wished that I could've sat next to them, like a three seater plane, but this plane was an air bus so only two seater.

"Ezra could you put my bag in the cabby?" Lucy asked handing him her bag.

"Sure." He lifted it and stowed it away. "I'm gonna go to the washroom, I'll be back." Lucy and I nodded.

I picked up my bag and attempted to stow it away in the cubby but failed horribly. The bag almost fell on me, but someone grabbed it and saved my face!

"Thanks." I said embarrassed. I looked at the guy who was holding my bag. He looked shady, he had black glasses on, wore a baseball cap and wore a hoodie.

"No problem." Oh my god, his voice. Wait, focus he seems strange. He looked at the seat next to mine, "I guess we'll be seat buddies for the flight." He smirked.

I felt nervous, which is odd. No one makes me nervous. "Oh, I guess we are."

"Would you mind if I could take the window seat?" Lucy looked at me and almost gasped. The window seat? Would I mind? Of course I would mind!

"Um, if you really want it?" I replied.

"No, It's ok." He said.

'What was the point in asking if you weren't interested?' I thought to myself. I sat down in my seat and he followed and sat down in his seat, right next to me. I really wouldn't mind sitting next to anyone, but he makes me nervous for some reason. I guess it's just his aura?

"I'm back." I heard Ezra from behind.

I turned to look at him and he almost started to laugh, I narrowed my eyes and stuck my tongue out at him.

"Um, are you ok?" The mysterious hooded man asked me.

Note to self: this is the most awkward situation I've ever been in.

I quickly put my tongue back in my mouth where it's supposed to be and started blushing,"Sorry, my friend-he was." I was babbling.

"I get it. It's fine." He chuckled.

Please fasten your seat belts and listen to the video being played. The Pilot spoke through the speakers. 'Sigh' the safety video. I've memorized it by now.

I fastened my belt and turned to look out the window. The plane began to catch speed and thrust upwards. The mysterious hooded man put in earplugs, I studied his movements and he looked vaguely familiar. He had a faint stubble and I saw a lock of light brown hair poke out of his baseball cap. He turned to me and caught me staring. I stare a lot.

He simply smiled in an arrogant way. I quickly turned away and picked up a magazine. he must be thinking so high of himself. He may be attractive but egoistic guys are jerks. Great I'll be stuck for 2 hours with him. I'll just have to avoid using the washroom, who would want to use them anyways. They are horrible on planes.

Hour one on plane: Status, bored and hungry.

I was about to put in earplugs of my own, that's when I heard snoring. I slowly turned my head towards my 'seat buddy' and found him fast asleep. Aw how 'cute'. This is just divine, oh wait, spoke too soon. His little brown head slowly dipped into the crook of my neck.

Note to self: Remember when I said before was the most awkwardest situation. Well, that one comes in second place, cause this is awkward!

I carefully slid a hand under his head and lifted it to place him back on his seat. I didn't realize I was holding my breath, but I let it out when I had accomplished this 'mission'.

"One hour to go." Lucy whispered from behind me.

"Thanks." I replied sarcastically.

"That's 60 minutes." She said.

"Yup, I know."

"That's 3600 seconds."

"Shut up." I whisper yelled.

Another uncomfortable hour later we had reached our destination. It felt so good to be home. My seat buddy got out of his seat and pulled out his backpack from the cubby. As I got out he pulled out my bag for me.

"Thanks." I smiled.

"No problem." There was that smirk again, his egoistic smirk. But strangely it grew on me, so it was ok. Now that I think about it, his smirk, well his mouth, is the only part of his face i've seen. Plus his nose. But he kept those black sunglasses on the whole time. "Maybe we'll see each other on a plane again. Promise to be my seat buddy?"

I laughed, "I promise." He walked away and towards baggage collection. I stopped to wait for Ezra and Lucy.

"Ready?" Ezra asked.

"You don't even know." I rolled my eyes.

"How was your seat buddy?" Lucy asked.

"Yah, he seemed sketchy." Ezra mentioned.

"He was ok, and yah, he seemed a bit shady." We all looked at each other for a second.

"Are we all thinking what I'm thinking?" Lucy asked.

"Sushi!" We all said simultaneously. After collecting our luggage we found a great sushi place within the airport and ate there.

"Ok, guys we have to surprise my parents. So do you have any ideas about what I should get them?"

"We can stop by the mall?" Ezra suggested. I thought about, then shook my head.

"Pass the soy sauce." I handed it over to Lucy. But then her hand knocked over her drink and it spilled all over me.

"Shoot! Sorry." She got up and literally threw the napkins on me and I stared at her. Ezra was of no use, he just laughed.

"I'll go to the washroom." I said emotionless. Great friends, really great. I went into the washroom to dab my top with a wet paper towel.

There was a little bit of a stain but it was ok. I made my way back to the sushi place but bumped into someone.

"Oh sorry." I said then looked up to see my seat buddy!

"You're still here?" he asked.

"I was eating sushi with my friends."

"Oh."

"I better get going, they're waiting." I smiled.

"I'll see you around." He said.

"See you...soon?" And with that he went on his way and went my way.

I sat down and continued to eat the amazing Californian roll.

"What about a bouquet of flowers?" Lucy asked.

"They love flowers." I said.

"Perfect." Ezra said.

Within half and hour we had a bouquet of flowers, lillies and orchids, and we were on our way to my parents home. My home.
