"This is ridiculous, you can't be serious right now." Evan threw a fit. I had just told him about Ryan inviting himself to the wedding and I readily agreed. "I said that I would give you space and that I would give you time to clear your head. But now, now you're inviting Ryan! Were you going to invite Damian too?" His eyes were big and full of fury.
"Why are you yelling at me?" I asked firmly. I wasn't going to let him intimidate me.
"Why am I yelling at you?" He asked sarcastically. "Why shouldn't I? Do you not understand how much I love you Nadia? Everything you just said to me is making me regret asking to marry you!" He roared.
My lips parted and I stared at him with shock. I backed away, "So this is clearly a mistake." I said. I felt a bulge forming in my throat.
Evan rubbed his face in frustration, "No, that's not what I meant-" He approached me.
"No. Stop. That's exactly what you meant." I grabbed my purse from his bed. "Maybe you're the one who needs space this time." I ran down the stairs and he ran after me.
"Nadia wait." He called. "Don't do this, we need to talk."
I didn't turn back, I kept going until I reached out to his driveway and drove away. I didn't know where I was going but I was just...going.

'Why is this happening to me? Damian is in my past. Damian is bad. Damian is a disease.'
'No he's not. You still feel something for him. He's still there in your heart.'
I fought with my thoughts. I don't understand how to get rid of him.
'He's a drug and I'm addicted. I can't get rid of him.'
'But if he's the drug then what's the rehab? How do I fix this?'
I need to go back, I need to apologize to Evan. I put him through hell and he still chose to stay with me.
I got up from the park bench looking on to the lake and started making my way back to the car. As soon as I got into the car I realized I didn't bring my phone with me. I looked at it and there were dozens of missed calls and messages from Evan. He must be worried sick. I need to get back to him.
I called his cell from the blue tooth but he wouldn't answer.
"Come on, Evan. Answer the phone." I called for the third time and I entered the highway at this point. I was ten minutes away from his house. Evan didn't pick up. I reached his home and noticed that his car wasn't there.
"Where the hell are you?!" He probably went out looking for me. I tried calling him again but there was no response.
