Another slow month had gone by. I could say that nothing eventful has been going on in my life but that would be a lie. Everyone was one month closer to Ezra and Lucy's wedding day. Speaking of which, the girls and I were getting fitted for the last time in our bridesmaid dresses since the wedding was next week.
"I think that one fits better on you than the one before." Lucy said to Ella as she tried on the tenth dress in one day even though she had been fitted for another.
"Are you sure? The other one fits me better." Ella said looking at the mirror.
"You know what, I think you're right." She said quickly. "Maybe it's the colour?" She questioned herself. She was very fidgety and panicky. She couldn't make a decision.
"I think that they're all perfect and you're worrying about nothing." I said holding her hand.
"She's right." Lucy's sister Caitlyn chimed in.
We all turned to her and she was slouched on a seat, drinking her iced lemonade.
"Where's your dress?" Lucy asked with her eyes popping out of her sockets.
"It's here somewhere, don't worry it fits me." She said casually.
"Caitlyn, you need to try on your dress this one last time to make sure that it doesn't need any last minute alterations." Lucy said enunciating each word.
"Fine." She said. Then she stormed off into the change room and slammed the door shut.
Caitlyn was Lucy's younger sister, she was 18 and was the complete opposite of Lucy. Caitlyn was rebellious, defiant, irresponsible, and a whole lot of other things.
"I don't know what I'm going to do with her." Lucy rubbed her forehead.
"Don't worry, everything will work out." Kate held her shoulders.
Eventually Caitlyn walked out of the change room. If there was one thing that these sisters did have in common, it was their impeccable beauty.
It sounded like everyone took in a silent gasp in amazement. "Caitlyn." Lucy stared at her younger sister in awe.
"What?" She asked genuinely confused, so then I turned her around so that she could see herself in the mirror. Her arms were crossed across her chest now fell like feathers to her sides.
"Caitlyn, you look so beautiful." Ella said slowly.
"Turn around." Kate asked her and she did. The dress spun around and all that was missing were a pair of heels. She didn't even need makeup.
Caitlyn looked across to Lucy and I felt like they shared this little moment. A sister moment. Lucy gave Caitlyn a little nod and she came running into her arms. It looked like they were younger again. "I'm so happy that you agreed to do this for me." Lucy said to Caitlyn.
"Me too." Caitlyn said.
"Will you be my maid of honour?" She asked Caitlyn, who was shocked.
"Me?" She asked.
Lucy nodded her head. "Yes."
"I'd love to." She said.
"Ok ladies." Ella started. "I'm sorry to cut this special sister moment short but we are running behind schedule.
We all grabbed our dresses and cashed out, once we dropped our dresses off in the car we head to a florist to pick our bouquets and the table centrepieces.
