"Nadia. Nadia wake up." My eyes slowly fluttered open. "Come on now, the doctor said you need to be active." I rolled out of my bed and did as Maggie said.

"You're here?" I asked.

"Yes, and so is Ella. She's downstairs with Mum and Dad."

"Doctors." I said.

"Yes Nadia, the doctor said to be active, otherwise you won't recover." she explained.

It had been three weeks since Damian was taken away from me

It had been three weeks since Damian was taken away from me.

Three weeks ago when I had accomplished my mission.

No more universities or working at a coffee shop.

From what I can remember is that after Evan took me to his place, I collapsed on the staircase from exhaustion. Or so the doctors say. And since I ran away from the hospital, when Damian picked me up and took me away, I had been worsening my condition. The past three weeks I was in the hospital and just last night got released on a condition that I rest until I am completely well again. I will have to see the doctor again for a follow up, but until then I have to rest.

Maggie told me to get dressed and to come downstairs. I went to the washroom and saw myself in the mirror. I saw my hideous self. I saw a slutty, two timing, back stabbing, untrustworthy woman. I couldn't live with myself.

'He's a murderer. He is bad for you and good for no one.' I told myself over and over again.

I showered and got dressed then made my way to the kitchen where I found my father reading the news on the iPad and my mother pouring some tea

I showered and got dressed then made my way to the kitchen where I found my father reading the news on the iPad and my mother pouring some tea. Maggie was feeding Ella some oatmeal and I stood there observing them.

"Good morning sweety." Mom dropped what she was doing and gave me a kiss on my forehead. She held me by shoulders and just looked at me with a warm smile. I could tell that it was a forced smile, she wasn't really happy. I felt like they were all hiding something.

I squinted my eyes at Dad who didn't seem to notice my existence.

"Here, sit down. I'll give you some toast." Mom said.
