"You're going to be late for the party." Lucy stated as she entered my room.
"I don't know if you noticed but I'm struggling with my dress right now." I grunted as I tried to slip my arm through the dress. But it wouldn't work.
"Let me help." Lucy came over and tugged on the dress a couple times and eventually, it worked.
"Thanks." I smiled. "You look great!" I complimented her, and she gave me a 360 when spinning around. She was a wearing a white dress that fell just above her knees and it had beautiful lace work on her chest.
"Thanks Nads. I hope Ezra likes it." She sat down on my bed.
"He will love it." I smiled as I pinned up strands of my hair. "When are Kate and Ella coming?" I asked.
"They're coming in a few minutes, I think Zack is picking them up." She wiggled her eyebrows.
I giggled. "I'm really happy for Kate. She's finally dating again."
"I know. I just hope Ella picks a guy already." She laughed.
"I think she just 'test driving' the different guys out there." Both of us laughed.
"What about you." She asked.
"Well, Damian is my date for tonight." I told her and she gasped.
"You mean your criminal?!" She screamed.
"Shh! Keep it to a low." I said.
"What are you gonna tell Ezra?" She asked folding her arms.
"He won't get mad. It's work related." I justified for myself.
"It better stay that way" She chided. "You aren't falling for him, right?" She sounded inquisitive.
"No." That's a lie.
Ever since I kissed him. I have no idea what had happened to me. Regardless of what he told me, I just can't accept him as a criminal. He's been through so much and I think I can help him. I just don't know how?
"Good. Cause he's not good for you." She said.
"I know." I nodded.
"Nadia!" We heard Ella call from downstairs.
"Coming!" I said back. I turned back to Lucy. "How do I look?" I was wearing a black dress that went to mid-thigh in length and had some shimmery bead work on the sweetheart neckline.
"You look extremely cute." She said.
"Cute? I was hoping for hot. But ok." I said.
We walked down the stairs and were attacked by Ella. "Come on!" She screamed. "Kate and Zack and waiting for us in the car."
"Wait I need to lock the door." I said as a pulled the keys out of my purse.
"Aren't your parents home?" Ella asked.
"No, they went out for a dinner date." I said as I put the keys back in my purse and started walking towards the car.
We opened the doors to Zack's SUV and were surprised with what we revealed.
"Oh! Sorry. You guys can finish." I said. Kate and Zack immediately broke their kiss and Kate started blushing.
"No, it's alright. We'll finish later." Zack said holding Kate's hand.
Ella and Lucy were staring at Kate and started giggling.
"Come on. Hop in." He said.
Ella sat in the seat behind the drivers seat, I sat in the middle, and Lucy sat behind Kate.
