~ "If you can't figure out where you stand with someone, it might be time to stop standing and start walking." ~

In this world, we don't meet people by accident. They are meant to cross our path for a reason. I feel I found someone special for a very special reason. That special person is none other than my criminal.

"I'm contemplating over two facts. One: the fact that Damian is my criminal, someone who is meant to be behind bars. Two: I like Damian Knight." I told Tiger as I was gone for my morning walk. I know, I'm talking to a dog. But honestly, I can't afford to tell anyone about my feelings for Damian. Everyone else thinks that I'm acting as his girlfriend for my mission, when in reality, it's not.

Damian had to go somewhere out of town so I had to take care of Tiger for him until he came back. "Oh, looks like you have an admirer." I said to Tiger as a Golden Retriever walked passed him.

All of a sudden Tiger started barking at the other dog and I tried to tell him to to be quiet.

"Tiger! That is NOT how a gentleman would act! Bad boy!" He put his ears down and stared at me with 'sorry' looking eyes. "Fine, I'll let it go this time." I pat his head.

We jogged back to Damian's house and I let Tiger into the backyard. I walked out through the front, locked his doors, I was about to walk back to my house but that's when Damian's car pulled up. I grinned. He stepped out of his black car and walked leisurely towards me, smirking.

"Well, what do we have here?" He came closer and held me by my waist. As soon as he came to me, his sharp scent had invaded my senses. In a good way of course. "It's my house sitter coming back from her walk." I smiled at him.

"I believe you need to pay me for my work." I said. He let out a light laugh. I prayed in my head that Ezra hadn't woken up yet. Otherwise he had a clear view of us forbidden lovers through his window.

"How's this?" He pecked my cheek.

"Mmm, I think I deserve more than that." I frowned like a child.

"You mean like this?" He pecked my lips.

"Not enough." I said again.

"Close your eyes." He ordered.

Confused. I still followed what he said.

"Now open your hands." I did so.

He placed something in my hands and then told me to open my eyes but to look at him not my hands.

I opened my eyes and thats when he kissed me again, but properly this time. To my satisfaction. He tasted sweet and tangy, just like I remembered from when we last kissed.

"How was that?" He asked.

"Much better." I giggled.

"Now open your gift." He said looking down at my hands then back at me.

I looked down and opened to reveal a beautiful charm bracelet. There was a single silver charm and it was of a heart.

"Damian," I gasped. "It's-" I stopped before I continued my thank you. This charm bracelet reminded me of the one Evan had given me. I glanced to my wrist where Evan's bracelet was, I didn't take it off. It was adorned with so many beautiful charms that he had given me. Before Damian could ask what's wrong I thanked him.

"It's beautiful." I looked up at him and gave him a kiss. "Here, help me put it on." He did so. I raised my left hand and watched him closely as he put it on me. He was kind, compassionate and I doubt he'd ever hurt me. I just couldn't get across the fact that he was a criminal.
