Delcallon stood at his balcony door with a loose buttoned shirt and trousers, he had clothes on, but his eyes widened with guilt as he stared over at me.
Rosay spun to face me and her own eyes widened into fear as she saw the anger that washed over my face.
My heart filled with rage as I shot Delcallon a deathly glare. He put his hands up in defeat and began to point to his side.
I creased my eyes in confusion before following his direction.
My face morphed when I saw Laveen leaning with his back against the fireplace. His lips were thinned out in amusement as my reaction to Rosay being in here.
But she was not alone with Delcallon. Laveen was here too.
I looked back at Delcallon who gently reassuringly smiled at me. I could feel him trying to get through my firewall to comfort me telepathically.
I shook my head though as I looked between Rosay, Laveen, and then Delcallon.
"I burnt the bed," I muttered out remembering why I had rushed up here in the first place.
Delcallon's face softened as he stepped towards me. I dropped my head in fear as his arms wrapped around my shoulders and he pulled me into a comforting embrace. My anger with him melted away. My panic even washed away with it.
"Is that like the Highvarion Equivalent of wetting the bed?" Laveen joked as he looked over at us.
Delcallon pulled away from me slightly and cupped my face. "It will be okay." He reassured me. "Rosay will ensure you have an anchor." He looked over his shoulder at the girl, "Won't she?" He asked sternly.
She looked between me and then Delcallon as her eyes narrowed, "I can." She muttered out slowly as she continued to examine us.
She met my eyes, "You are... Developing fast." She stated with astonishment.
I nodded slowly as I stepped out of Delcallon's grip, but kept close to his side. His hand rested casually on the dent of my back.
"I need to perform the ritual," I asked as firmly as I could manage.
Her eyes narrowed as she glared at me, and then at Delcallon. "Are you sure I am trustworthy enough for that?" She barked at Delcallon.
I creased my face in confusion.
"I am interrogating everyone Rosay," Delcallon answered and I began to put together why she was in his room.
"Apparently waking up next to you, for twenty years is not enough to earn your trust." She spat with anger.
My eyes widened. Twenty years? That is nearly as old I. They had been together for nearly half of a mortal's life.
"Please, do not flatter yourself." Laveen chirped, "He interrogated me also." He shrugged as he pushed off the fireplace, "And in terms of people he can trust, I am on the top of that list." He pointed with his thumb into his chest.
Rosay rolled her eyes and shook her head. "Are you going to Interrogate her?" She said pointing to me.
I smirked. I did not mean to, but I found it utterly amusing that she thought I needed to be interrogated by the man who had open access to my mind for weeks while he trained me.
"Or do we not find it suspicious, that the half-breed Highvarion, Intwined with Eskar?" She creased her face causing my blood to faintly boil, "Then managed to wiggle her way into your life." She pointed at Delcallon, "Distracting you for two weeks when we are supposed to be fighting Rebels."
