After practicing with Yarris I returned to my room to run a bath. The sun was still blazing through the room, but after a few more moments of eye contact with Yarris, I stated I was far too exhausted to continue.
An unfortunate lie. But his gaze was far too heavy for me to return.
I began pulling off the leather braces of my outfit.
Your wall is down.
Delcallon's voice echoed in my mind causing me to stop what I was doing.
"Ugh." I groaned out before putting up the walls again.
I stopped for a moment and pursed my lips. The others could communicate with him telepathically, maybe I could too.
I dropped my walls and focused on pressing a thought towards him. Where are you?
We just got back.
He answered immediately. That was not too hard.
I sighed out and began tying my hair. Where are you?
I asked again with a bit more frustration in my tone. I wanted to know exactly where he was.
Dining hall.
He answered back.
You are welcome to join.
I bobbed my head before swiftly putting the walls up to ensure Delcallon did not see what I was about to do.
I strode out of my room, down the halls, and towards the dining room.
No guards stood by the doors, so with one swift motion, I swung them open.
Delcallon snapped his eyes to me and immediately began faintly smiling at me. He was leaning on the edge of the table, next to his sister who was sitting down with relaxed shoulders. His hands were slipped into his pockets, as fucken always.
Laveen had his boots up on the table as he leaned back on the chair with his arms behind his head. He looked up at me and sighed out, "This should be good." He muttered under his breath. He knew I was mad for being excluded.
Yarris and Brallon were also sitting at the table, far more formally than Laveen or Delcallon though.
I strode around the table towards Delcallon whose eyes were slowly widened while his eyebrow lifted.
I placed myself right in front of him, close enough for our feet to touch. Dorica straightened her back and looked up at us, her expression washed over with anxiousness.
Delcallon looked down at me as he desperately tried to read my mind. I could feel him trying to reach past my firewall and find out what I was doing. But it was blocked.
In one swift motion, I delivered a painful slap across his face causing his head to swing to the side.
Laveen burst out into a deep chuckle that radiated through the room. Brallon's eyes widened into shock while Yarris tightened out his lips to hide a grin.
Delcallon licked his bottom lip before looking back towards me. And then, he smirked into a ridiculously devilish grin that just boiled my blood further. Surely it hurt him, even slightly, his skin was already pink on his cheek.
I clenched my jaw and jabbed my finger into his chest, "Never exclude me again from anything that involves Eskar." I growled as I looked up at him. "He is mine to kill. Do you understand?"
Delcallon continued to smirk as he looked down at my finger and then into my eyes, "I understand." He purred.
I creased my face in disgust and frustration at his reaction to my anger.
I violently shoved him into the table before pushing away from him. He brushed his thumb over the bottom of his lip trying to hide the smile that was plastered over his face. I stormed out of the room before I ended up burning the entire room to the ground.
"I thought she was trying to be nice?" Dorica's voice stated behind me.
