Angie POV
"Colby you really didn't have to go to all this trouble" I say looking around the expensive restaurant.
"I wanted to you're worth it" he smiles as he pulls out my chair
Suddenly I feel a little bad that he has gone to all this trouble for he has no clue isn't sure she should be here. Ultimately I came because I didn't want to hurt his feelings.
After ordering our food Colby takes my hands in his.
"So who is he?" He asks
"Who's who?" I ask in reply
"The guy who has your attention instead of me" he asks
"He's no one" I ask "I'm sorry, you have my undivided attention"
Colby smiles as the waiter bring our food, the meal passes by with plenty a talk and laughter and I find I'm really enjoying his company and I think coming was maybe not such a bad idea after all.
After paying the bill we head out of the restaurant and Colby wraps an arm around my shoulder.
"Well I had lovely time thank you" I say leaning into him
"Oh it's not over yet" he smiles "we are going dancing"
Before I have chance to protest he pulls me into a small club and straight onto the dance floor as a slow song starts to play.
"How's that for timing" he grins pulling me close
"Impeccable" I laugh as we start to sway to the music
As we continue moving I rest my head against his shoulder and he tightens his arm around my waist. Being in his arms feels nice, it doesn't feel like it did with Drew but then I guess nothing ever will but it's nice and I'm perfectly happy to stay like this.
"What are you thinking?" Colby asks
"How nice this is" I say "I haven't been on a date in a long time"
"You having a good time?" He asks
"Yeah, I'm having a great time" I smile
"Good becuase I'd really like to take you out again" he says resting his head against mine
"I'd like that too" I say and Colby stops moving, I move back from him and he cups my face gently rubbing my cheek with his thumb, he looks at me for a moment before leaning in and pressing his lips to mine.
His kiss is gentle and soft and I return it willingly, I feel him smile against my lips before he moves back."I have been wanting to do that for a long time" he says pecking my lips
"Was it worth the wait?" I ask
"Oh yeah" he smiles "absolutely worth it"
As much as I enjoyed the kiss, it couldn't come close to the way Drew used to kiss me, it was nice but it didn't give me the same feeling. Maybe in time it will, maybe given time I could grow to love Colby the way I loved Drew.
We walk back to the hotel hand in hand, we make it a slow walk so as to enjoy as much of our time together as possible, but all to soon we arrive at the hotel.
We get into the elevator and press the buttons to our floors, his two floors above mine. When the door opens on my floor Colby steps out with me."Wrong floor handsome" I smile
"I'm being a gentleman and walking you to your door" he smiles back.
We walked down the corridor still hand in hand, only stopping once we reach my door, "I had a great time tonight" I say giving him a hug, its then as I look over his shoulder I see Drew come out of the elevator, his eyes fall on us and he freezes to the spot.
Moving back from Colby but keeping my hands on his chest I smile up at him "I had a great time too" he says "can't wait to take you out again".
Cupping Colby's cheek and knowing full well Drew is watching I lean in and press my lips to his, Colby returns the kiss wrapping his arms around me and pulling me close.
Not breaking the kiss I reach out and open the door to my room leaving it slightly ajar.
I move my hands into Colby's hair and deepen the kiss slightly before breaking it."Wow two kisses in one night" he smiles "I must have done something right"
Without saying a word I grab a handful of Colby's shirt and pull him so his lips are back on mine, as we kiss I move pulling him with me until we are both in my room.
Breaking the kiss I turn to the door, taking one last look at Drew I close the door.
