One month later
Angie POV
Things between Drew and I had been for lack of a better word perfect since we went public. We had switched from having separate hotel rooms to sharing a room, we had started doing normal couple things like going on dates, walking down the street holding hands, the usual sort of thing.
The biggest change was Drew asking to make his home my home, I still, hadn't sorted out my own place for when we had down time and I had been alternating between staying with Jeff and staying with Lexi, so of course when he asked I said yes.
We had also got into a routine of going to work together, having lunch together when we could and going back to the hotel together if and when we could.
We were both happy and very much in love.
Heading into work together as normal, Drew leaves me at the make up room with a soft kiss before heading on his way, whe I enter the room I find Stephanie waiting for me.
"Angie, how are you?" She asks
"I'm good thank you, and you?" I ask
"Good thank you" she smiles "and how's things with you and Drew?"
"Good, really good" I smile
"I'm glad to hear it" she says "although that is what I need to speak to you about"
"Oh is there a problem?" I ask
"Well I'm not sure" she says "some one has come to me and said that Drew is distracted, his mind is on you and not his performance, and it's been that way since your two got together on your first day back in the UK. Now I don't believe that and they have no evidence, but obviously I have to do something about it"
"That's crazy" I say "this job is everything to him, there's no way he would allow himself to get distracted"
"I know" she says "for now I'm going to be watching Drew closely and if he is distracted in anyway then I will be forced to move you"
"Move me" I say "move me where?"
"NXT UK" she says
My stomach sinks and I instantly feel sick, if she sends me back to the UK then I lose Drew, not long after we had gotten back together he had agreed that it would not have worked us being so far apart.
"who was it?" I ask
"I'm afraid I can't say" she says "they asked to remain anonymous"
"Of course they did" I sigh
"I shouldn't be telling you this and you can't tell Drew but we have a big title push planned for him and we need him focused" she says
"I understand" I say
After Stephanie leaves I grab my phone and send a text to Stephen, Jeff, Colby, Nia, Lexi and Naomi, the only people who know how things really started with me and Drew.
Me: my room after work, we need to talk
I hit send knowing that Drew is finishing later than me which gives us time to talk before he gets back to the room.
After work
When I get back to the room everyone is waiting by the door for me.
"What's going on ?" Stephen asks
"Not out here" I say letting everyone in the room, once I close the door I turn to look at everyone "ok Steph came to see me, some one has told her that Drew is distracted because of me, whoever it is knew exactly when Drew and I got together, have any of you told anyone?" I ask
"Not a word" Jeff says
"You and Drew are the only ones I talk to about you two" Stephen says
Lexi, Nia both shakes their heads
"Girl no ones heard nothing from me" Noami says
"I'm sorry I had to ask" I sigh sitting down on bed "she's going to be watching Drew from now on and if he's distracted in anyway then she's going to move me"
"Move you where?" Nia asks
"NXT UK" I say "and if that happens I lose the best thing that ever happened to me"
"Wait a minute" Lexi says "if the person knows how you two started out then they also know that you and Drew would be over if you're moved"
"Some one wants you out of the way" Colby says
"Stephen has Drew talked to anyone about me and him?" I ask and he shakes his head
"Not that I've heard" he says
"Guys what am I going to do" I sob
"You are going to make sure that Drew is one hundred percent focused" Nia says placing an arm around my shoulder "and we are going to try and find out who it is"
"Thanks" I say "I'm not losing him, not this time, and I'm certainly not going to let some one take him away from me"
"Trust me when I find out who it is, they are going to wish they never messed with you" Jeff says sitting at the other side of me and taking my hand in his
"Don't worry" Colby says "we'll figure this out"
