Next day
Drew POV
Being woken up by the sound of a phone ringing was not unusual what was unusual was that it was Angie's phone ringing, it's almost always my phone that rings.
"Hello" Angie says sitting bolt upright and answering her phone "yeah, yeah I'll be there no problem, see you soon"
"Everything alright?" I ask kissing along her shoulder
"Yeah I have to work Smackdown today, Sharon is sick" she sighs "I'm sorry baby I know you wanted us to spend the day together"
"It's fine, we can do it another day" I smile and she smiles back before pressing a gentle kiss against my lips
"I love you" she says and I smile, I can't help it everytime she tells me she loves me I feel ten feet tall, like I'm the luckiest man on this earth although I'm sure Stephen would say that's him.
"I love you too Angel" I say
Yes I was disappointed we wouldn't be spending the day together but it also left me with a problem, tomorrow was Angie's birthday and I'm terrible at choosing gifts, I had hoped that while we were out today she would spot something she liked and I would buy it for her, but now that is out the window and I'm back to having no clue.
When Angie is ready to go I get out of bed and walk over to her, taking her in my arms I press a kiss against her lips as she runs her hands up my body before wrapping her arms around my neck.
"Mmm I have to go" she says breaking the kiss "but can you be dressed like this when I get back tonight?" She asks and I chuckle
"I'll see what I can do" I smile "now have a good day and the two of you take care" I say before crouching down to kiss her bump
After she leaves I get dressed and head to Stephen and Esmee's room.
"What can I do for you fella?" He asks with a smile
"Actually I was hoping to borrow your lovely wife to be" I say
"Um sure, you sure I can't help?" He asks
"I want to buy Angel a special gift for her birthday tomorrow so if you think you can help with that then sure you can help" I say
"Yeah um I'll get Esmee for you" he says and I chuckle
"Hi Drew, what can I do for you?" She asks
"I was just telling your man it's Angie's birthday tomorrow and I want to get her something special I was hoping you could help" I ask nervously
"Of course let me grab my bag and we'll get going" she says with a smile.
Later that night
Angie POV
Arriving back at the hotel I was exhausted, if I had known that I would be working til midnight I would have said no. The worst part is I was doing hair and makeup, the other makeup girl decided to take off early and left me with all the cleaning up and at 6 months pregnant it took longer than normal to do and it wiped me out.
Walking through the door I find Drew waiting for me just like I asked in nothing but a pair of boxers, smiling I walk over to him and take his face in my hands and kiss him.
"Hey" I say breaking the kiss
"Hey" he smiles back "you looked exhausted, are you alright?"
"I'm wiped out" I say sitting beside him "Chloe decided to take off early I had to do all the cleaning up"
"What?" He gasps "that's not on I'm going to speak to Stephanie in the morning"
"Please don't" I say "I don't want any trouble"
"Angel you're pregnant you shouldn't be cleaning up" he says "she had no right to take off and leave you like that"
"Braveheart all I want to do right now is get into bed and go to sleep in your arms" I say resting my head on his shoulder
"It's after midnight" he says "you know what that means"
"What?" I ask
"Happy birthday Angel" he says handing me a gift wrapped box
Smiling I take the box from him and unwrap it carefully, Drew watches as I open the box to reveal a beautiful silver chain with a pair of diamond angel wings on it.
"Baby it's beautiful I love it thank you" I say kissing him
"I can't take all the credit, I did have some help" he smiles "Esmee found this and since you are my angel she said it was perfect and I agreed with her"
"It is perfect" I smile "and so are you, I love that you're not ashamed to admit that you sometimes have to ask for help"
"Well I wanted to get you something special and I'm hopeless at buying gifts" he chuckles "I didn't want to mess this up and ruin my wife's birthday"
"I love you" I smile
"I love you too" he says "now let's get you into bed and off to sleep"
Changing into my nightware I climb into bed and snuggle into Drew's side as best I can before closing my eyes and driving off into a deep sleep.
