New Friend

Angie POV

After admitting defeat Drew had gone to get ready for his match and Jeff was doing the same. Stephen and Esmee were about to leave but I wanted to ask them something first.

"Hey guys do you have a minute?" I ask stopping them in their tracks

"Yeah sure what can we do for you?" Stephen asks

"Well I was hoping that you two would agree to be godparents" I ask

"I'd be honoured" Stephen smiles

"Are you sure?" Esmee asks "we don't know each other that well"

"Absolutley" I smile "and after the way you handled Drew you are my new best friend" I laugh

"Well then I'd love to" Esmee smiles

"Great well I'll let you guys get to work" I say "oh and Emsee" I call out

"Yes" she says stopping and looking at me

"I'd like you to be bridesmaid too" I smile

"I'd love to" she smiles before leaving

Later that day

I had done hair and makeup for pretty much everyone and I was more exhausted then usual. I had taken a seat and decide to close my eyes and had unintentionally fallen asleep.

"Angel wake up" Drew says gently rubbing my shoulder "why don't you go back to the room and rest"

"But I said I'd watch your match" I say

"You're exhausted beautiful" he smiles "I'd rather you got some rest"

"I'll be fine I promise" I say "oh I asked Stephen and Esmee to be godparents"

"Can't think of anybody better for the job" he smiles "I really think she's perfect for him"

"Yeah me too" I say "she makes him very happy, you know I can see them getting married"

"You think so?" He asks "between you and me I think he likes her alot more than he's letting on"

"You picked up on that too huh?" I ask "maybe he needs another nudge"

"You've done enough" he laughs "he'll get there when he's ready"

"Maybe the four of us could do a double date sometime?" I suggest

"Let them have a few more dates first" Drew says "then we'll suggest it"

After a moment Drew goes quite and I find him looking at me and smiling, his natural smile is beautiful and he has the cutest dimples you will ever see, it's a smile that for the most part only I see and it makes it all the more special.

"What are you thinking?" I ask

"That I'm the luckiest man on earth right now" he smiles "I have a beautiful fiancee and a baby on the way and I don't think it can get any better than this"

"No I'm the lucky one" I say "I have you and our baby, I love you"

"I love you too" he says giving me a quick kiss

"Well I think gutsy junior is hungry" I say "I think I'll go get some fries"

"That's never going to go away is it?" He laughs

"Nope never" I smile "and trust me it's alot better than what Esmee called you"

"I need to get to my match, I'll see you after" he says giving me another quick kiss

"Yeah see you then" I smile "and good luck"

As I watch Drew leave I think about how truly lucky I am to have not just him but all of my friends in my life. I really struck it lucky  in this job and I know that Esmee and I are going to be great friends, anyone who can handle Drew the way she did is definitely some one I want as a friend.
