Angie POV
"So let me get this straight" Jeff says looking at me in disbelief "you dragged Colby into your room because you saw Drew looking?"
"Yeah" I sigh "I guess I wanted Drew to see that I was trying to move on"
"I get that" he says shaking his head "but that was not the right way to do it"
"I know, I feel like shit as it is" I say putting my head in my hands
"So you should" he says before sitting next to me and wrapping an arm around my shoulder "and you're right to not rub this in his face and maybe you two can figure out what you are and where it's going before you tell it to the world"
"you and me need to book some time for some serious girl talk" Lexi giggles "I have so many questions"
"absolutely" I smile "right after I talk to Colby and have dinner with Stephen"
"please tell me that's not a date" Jeff sighs and face palms himself
"No it's just friends catching up" I say "definitely not a date"
"thank god" he says falling back on the bed "now get your ass ready for the beach"
at the beach
Angie POV
Arriving at the beach I realise that Jeff and Lexi had under played how many of the roster were coming, it seems like pretty much everyone is here. Looking around my eyes fall on Drew who's down by the water with Stephen, he sees me and gives me a smile and I smile back.
After laying our towels down we strip down to our swim wear and lay down, as I do so my phone pings.
Drew: You're not playing fair
Me: How so?
Drew: You want me to act like there's nothing going on between us and you wear that!
Me: Don't you like it?
Drew: I do, I'd like it even more if it were on the hotel room floor
Me: Behave
Drew: Believe me I'm trying but you are making it hard
Chuckling to myself I put my phone away, knowing that I am testing his resolve with my bikini is mildly amusing. Jeff plays some music on his phone and then stand up and holds out his hand for me.
"What?" I ask looking up at him
"Get up and dance with me" he smiles before grabbing my hands and pulling me up, he positions me so that I have my back to him and places and arm around me with his hand flat on my stomach before he starts moving us to the beat
"you're crazy you know that" I laugh
"Yeah but you love me" he says
As I dance with Jeff I look over at Drew and he is watching with a smile on his face, I smile back and allow myself to get in the rhythm properly.
After dancing through 3 or 4 songs Jeff decides to go and grab us all an ice cream, as I watch Drew a pair of arms wrap around me and a chin rests on my shoulder.
"Hey Colby" I say realising who it is and turn to face him
"Hey, how are you feeling?" he asks
"Like shit" I say "Can we talk?"
"Oh" he says frowning "sure"
We head over to a quiet area away from the crowds and sit down
"I like you Colby" I say "I wouldn't have accepted the date of I didn't but you were right when you said some one else had my attention, I wanted to move on, to get over him but I'm not sure I ever will"
"is that who was watching last night?" he says and my mouth drops open
"how did you know?" I ask
"I saw you looking over my shoulder" he says
"Then why did you let me do what I did?" I ask
"Regardless of everything else you and me are friends" he says taking my hands in his "and above all else I want you to be happy, even if that's not with me, and if making him jealous helps you two to be happy I was willing to do that"
"you're too good for this world Colby Lopez" I smile "although I wish you'd get mad and shout at me because that's what I deserve"
"Maybe" he smiles "but but I'm not mad, did it work?"
"we're talking" I say "figuring things out"
Colby and I stand up and he give me a hug which I gladly return, I had expected him to be mad, hurt even, I had prepared myself for shouting and losing a friend but he surprised me by being so nice about it.
Heading back over to Lexi and Jeff I notice that there are only two ice creams
"where's my ice cream" I ask as I approach
"you disappeared" Jeff shrugs "had to eat it"
"hey no fair" I say "that's mean"
Jeff laughs and shrugs, in revenge for him eating my ice cream I place my hand on the back of his head and push it forward so that his ice cream goes in his face, Jeff wipes his face as Lexi and I laugh
"Oh you better run" he says getting to his feet
Taking off down the beach as fast as I can I instinctively without thinking make a bee line for Drew, when I reach him I grab him and hide behind him.
"what in the world" he says before looking up and seeing Jeff heading our way, to my shock and surprise instead of helping me he merely steps out of the way allowing Jeff to grab me, as he sweeps me up over his shoulder I look at Drew
"Thanks for nothing Gutsy" I shout and he laughs "Jeff put me down" I say realising the sand is getting wetter
"No chance sweetheart" he chuckles "you're going to pay for ruining my ice cream"
"you ate mine" I shout "you had it coming" I say smacking his ass
"oh now you've done it" he says before dropping me straight into the cold sea, when I emerge spluttering I find Jeff laughing at me.
"You are luck you're cute and I love you" I say laughing with him
"I love you too" he laughs "but don't mess with my food"
"you've started something now Hardy" I laugh "just remember payback is a bitch"
