Naruto dreaded the afternoon as it came by a little too quick for his liking. Iruka had told him to put on his big boy pants and suck it up if he wanted to graduate with his friends. Naruto had picked out a blank notebook from his bookbag and a pen. It's not like he needed anything else. He ate dinner with his small family and headed out the door after doing the dishes. As the blonde walked down the side walk to the dark painted house a few feet from his own he grumbled his feeling about having to go to his rival's house.

The sun was still in the sky as it slowly drifted to its setting position. There were barely any clouds now, but there was a nice breeze. Naruto sighed as he climbed the stairs to Sasuke's front door. His notebook was gripped tightly as he raised his hand to knock. The pen behind his ear decided it wasn't going to stay any longer and fell off his ear just as the door opened. Groaning Naruto bent down to get it.

"Well then. I'm sure this service isn't for me; you must be Sasuke's friend." Itachi said with a hint of amusement.

Naruto picked up his pen and righted himself with a stiff back, "No." Naruto answer.

Itachi looked Naruto over and smirked before stepping to the side. Naruto entered the house and Itachi shut the door slowly and very dramatically. It creeped Naruto out that Sasuke's older brother was being weird. Ignoring his sense of needing to get out Naruto stayed in the foyer of the house.

"He's up in his room. Up the stairs and the third door to the left." Itachi said and walked around Naruto and into the now clean office.

Naruto followed the directions given to him and found that the third door to the left was already open. He peeked inside and saw Sasuke on his laptop typing away at something. Naruto rolled his eyes and stepped in shutting the door with a slam. Sasuke jumped in his desk chair and turned around.

"Don't slam the door, moron." Sasuke glared and turned in his chair.

Naruto made himself comfortable on the bed that was pushed to the wall. Sasuke opened a new tab on his laptop before picking it up and rolling himself over to where Naruto was already opening his notebook.

"How do we start this?" Naruto asked and clicked his pen.

"We ask each other personal questions, and those will be our paragraphs. Then at the end we explain the person in our own way." Sasuke said.

Naruto nodded and waited for Sasuke to start. The brunette sat there waiting for the blonde to start, but his mind worked faster and he cleared his throat.

"When were you born?" Sasuke asked.

"October 10, 1994. You?" Naruto asked.

"July 23, 1994. Is Iruka your dad?" Sasuke asked not bothering to look up knowing he wasn't.

"...No. I was adopted when I turned twelve." Naruto said clearing his throat.

"What orphanage where you at then?" Sasuke asked not giving the blonde time to ask his own.

"Konohagakure Orphanage." Naruto said barely audible.

"Did you know your parents?" Sasuke asked as he typed on his laptop.

"No. Can we change the topic?" Naruto asked feeling kind of depressed now.

"Sure. Have you eaten; I could order something?" Sasuke said closing his laptop and eyeing the blonde in front of him.

Naruto didn't reply as his mind had taken him back to the days of the orphanage. He missed playing with all the kids and singing to Miss Tsunade and Miss Shizune. He missed being the special kid to have his own room. His chest ached as he remembered everything. Sasuke continued to stare at the boy in front of him wondering what was going on through his head. Sure, Sasuke had already done his research on Naruto, but the internet and stalking people didn't reveal the feelings and thoughts behind everything.

"Naruto, Iruka wanted to inform you that Kakashi and him are going out again and that the key is in the spot." Itachi said as he opened the door.

Feeling the emotions in the air Itachi cleared his throat and eyed his brother suspiciously. Sasuke shrugged pretending he didn't know what he had done. Naruto shook his head and smiled brightly.

"Sorry. Thank you, Mr. Uchiha, for letting me know. We can keep going." Naruto smiled and picked up his notebook again.

Itachi glared at Sasuke once more before leaving the room with the door slightly open. Sasuke sighed and opened his laptop again.

"Alright, just tell me everything you want from your past until now. I won't ask the questions." Sasuke hoping this wouldn't lead to Naruto closing up again.

Nodding Naruto made himself comfortable on the bed and took a deep breath. He started from the earliest memory he had and went on from there. Sasuke didn't say anything or questioned Naruto as he typed away on his laptop. The room was calmer now. The sounds of Itachi messing with something downstairs could be heard.

The sun outside had already touched the horizon making the sky a beautiful mixture of colors. The orange hue of the sun setting came in through one of Sasuke's windows landing on Naruto. It made it seem like he was surreal with a halo above his head. Sasuke had looked up at him at this moment and he stopped typing. His mouth fell slightly, and his pupils dilated as he stared at the glowing boy.

Naruto's hair shined brightly with the added light. His eyes beamed with love as he spoke of Miss Tsunade. Naruto's skin seemed to glow happily. His smile hadn't faltered as his lips moved to form words. The blonde looked as if he could be the definition of sunshine. He was moving his hands as he got into talking about the moment, he had pranked Miss Tsunade. Sasuke couldn't help but stare. Not knowing he spoke aloud Sasuke stopped Naruto mid-sentence.

"You're beautiful." Sasuke whispered.
