My Song to You

Naruto sat in his room alone. Everyone had left leaving him and his son alone in the small apartment. He was sitting on the edge of his bed, elbows resting on his knees and his face in his hands. He couldn't shake off the feeling of being betrayed. All he had wanted was to live his life with the one person that he loved, even if that person sometimes ruined everything for him. Sighing heavily, he laid back on the mattress thinking of ways to calm himself. Nothing helped. If Sasuke really was married to that person, why hadn't he told him. Why hide the fact that Naruto was just the second option. Was he not worth being the first? Was Sasuke always with that person even when they were dating? Was Naruto just a cover up for the public eye, while that person was his actual lover? Groaning Naruto rolled onto his side tears stinging his eyes. He didn't want to cry, he was tired of crying over someone he didn't even try to fight for him.

"Mom?" Saruto's sleepy voice came from the doorway.

He stood there, hair messy and rubbing his left eye. He was wearing one of Naruto's t-shirts and his kid underwear, he had refused to put on his own pjs. Naruto cleared his throat and wiped his eyes quickly before turning to his son. His heart ached, Saruto was a copy and paste of Sasuke. Same hair, same face, same eyes, everything the same except for his hyperactive personality. Naruto sat up in bed and motioned for him to come closer. Saruto made his way to his mother and climbed into bed next to him.

"What's up?"Naruto asked brushing away Saruto's hair out of his face.

"I'm hungry." Saruto said now looking at his mom.

He noticed the teary eyes but said nothing because he wasn't an adult and wouldn't understand. Instead, he leaned against Naruto's arm and waited for his parent to do what they normally do. 

Naruto smiled down at the boy, "Want some ramen? Or should we order take out?" Naruto asked pulling his son closer to him.

"Can we have pizza?" Saruto asked looking up at his mother with the biggest puppy eyes he could manage.

"Yeah, I'll order some rght now." Naruto laughed pulling out his phone from his back pocket.

Excited now Saruto slid off the bed and ran towards the living room with a 'woo pizza'. Naruto shook his head as he ordered a cheese pizza on an app before following Saruto.

Sasuke had been dragged to a small motel near some highway. He didn't even want to come here; he wanted to stay with Naruto and clear things up. Renji had parked the car and walked his way to a room not bothering to see if Sasuke followed. Sasuke now sitting in the car alone sighed. He knew Renji, but didn't expect something like to happen. Sasuke had tried to use Renji to ignore his feelings for Naruto back in high school. Ever since then Sasuke has ignored him, even got a restraining order against the guy, but it fell through because the judge was bribed.

Sasuke sat there trying to figure a way he could fix this. He wanted to call Naruto and explain everything he knew, but his phone had been taken Renji when they were driving. Frustrated and annoyed that some dumbass person from his past ruined his happy ending Sasuke got out the car and started walking. He ignored Renji calling out to him, ignored the threat that was thrown at him.

He kept walking until he ended up at a gas station a few blocks away. Walking in with the door dinging Sasuke headed for the counter. Behind the counter was a teenaged boy with earbuds in and piercings in his nose and cheek, probably to make artificial dimples. Sasuke glared at him until he popped one of the buds out.

"Do you have a phone I can use, my battery died and I dont have my wallet to buy a charger." Sasuke lied.

The kid looked him up and down before reaching behind him and picking upp and old landline before handing it to Sasuke. With no thank you Sasuke took it and dialed up Itachi's number. It rang once, twice and then a groan could be heard on the other end.

"Who is this?" Itachi's sleepy voice asked through the mic.

"Its me, come get me. I'm fucking stranded with no phone and no wallet." Sasuke growled. 

He felt useless and he hated it. Itachi asked him where he was before hanging up. Giving the phone back to the teen Sasuke left the store and waited outside.

"Let's watch Cinderella!! I like the mouses!" Saruto exclaimed as he set him on the floor behind the coffee table where the pizza box lay open.

"How about we watch Wall-E instead?" Naruto asked hoping he didn't have to sit through his sixtieth time watching Cinderella.

"But that doesn't have mouses. I like mouses." Saruto pouted and crossed his arms over his tiny chest.

"No put it had robots. You like robots." Naruto said already searching for Wall-E on Netflix. 

Saruto perked up at the mention of robots and got comfortable where he sat. Once the movie started Naruto sat on the couch behind Saruto with own plate and two slices of pizza. The living room was silent except for the TV and Saruto's small giggles here and there. Naruto wasn't really paying attention, his mind still locked on what had happened today. It was supposed to be his best day, his most memorable one. But it came crashing down around him just like everything else.  He could feel a lump in his throat start to build as his eyes began to water. He swallowed the lump away and blinked the tears away, he was not going to cry in front of his kid.

The night continued on with Saruto eating more than he should have of pizza, Naruto claiming it was bedtime and sent him off to shower. As Naruto cleaned up the living room and did the dishes he could hear Saruto in the bathroom singing one of his songs off key. Smiling to himself he promised he'd do better for him. Naruto's phone vibrated in his pocket casuing him to snap out of thought.

"Hello?" He asked into the mic.

"Hey! I just wanted to know if you were up to hanging out with the gang on Friday. You know, you, me, Shikamaru, and Choji." Came Kiba's voice sounding excited.

"I got Saruto, I do-" Naruto started before he was cut off.

"Don't worry, bring him too. I got the kids from Hinata for the day so she can relax. And Choji is bringing his kid. Plus, we're going to Chuck E Cheese!" Kiba said sounding more excited for himself than the kids. (A/N: KIBA IS DATING SHINO, HINATA IS MARRIED TO SOMEONE ELSE...HES LIKE AN UNCLE..)

"Alright, I guess I could go." Naruto said in a joking tone.

"Awesome, I'll text you the details. Bye!" Kiba hung up.

Finally, something positive was coming, Naruto could feel it.
