Sasuke could feel the hairs on the back of his neck raising as he saw Naruto approach him. He could tell the blonde was furious with him. He didn't know what he'd done. It was too late to apologize now, and there were witnesses in the stuff animal section so Naruto wouldn't murder him there. If anything he'd take him somewhere alone, maybe his apartment. Sasuke held the two plushies of a fox and a cat in his arms as if they would protect him. Naruto reached out to Sasuke and pulled his ear. He didn't say anything just pulled him to the cashier, made Sasuke pay and they left. Everyone around them was giving them a strange look, but it didn't faze Naruto.

"Can you let go of my ear, I need it to listen to you." Sasuke tried to joke.

Naruto didn't say anything as he continued to pull Sasuke into an alley between the toy store and a pizzeria. It was dirty and smelled of cheese, but it would have to do. Sasuke could only think of this small alley as his final resting place. 

"Why the hell didn't you tell me?" Naruto whisper yelled as he dug his pointer finger into Sasuke's shoulder.

"Ow, what are you talking about?" Sasuke asked rubbing his injured shoulder.

"Cancer, of all fucking things." Naruto whispered even lower as if it could be spread just by saying it.

"Well, how does it feel? You kept our child a secret. Shit. I thought I had done something to hurt you." Sasuke sighed and held the two plushies at arms length now.

"This is hurting me! How can you not think it's not!? What if I lose you, what if you're not around Saruto enough that he forgets you?! What am I going to do if he asked what happened to you?! Who am I going to ma- God Sasuke you need to think things through. Were you not going to tell me even if you died today?" Naruo full blown yelled.

Sasuke smirked; everything just flew over his head except one thing. Naruto almost asked, 'who was he going to marry'. Sasuke had thought of asking Naruto's hand in marriage for so long. Naruto looked at Sasuke weirdly noticing the change in the brunette. 

"You wanna marry me?" Sasuke asked not caring that they were fighting or in a dirty public place.

"Th-thats outta the question here!" Naruto quickly replied crossing his arms over his chest as a faint blush grew over his cheeks.

"That's not a no either." Sasuke smiled as he leaned over Naruto and place a soft kiss against the blonde's lips.

Naruto pushed him away enough, "Answer me, why didn't you just tell me straight away. Even before Saruto. I'm sure you knew then, why didn't you tell me? I'm so scared. What if I lose you, seriously. No jokes, Sasuke. I can't imagine life without you. We may not be together anymore, but I still love you. I care about you. If something were to happen, I wouldn't know because you decided to keep it a secret from me. Why?" Naruto started tearing up and choking on his words as he fought to not cry.

Sasuke knew then that Naruto was being serious. He hugged the blonde tightly. The two plushies in his hands rubbing Naruto's back softly.

"I'm sorry. I was scared when I found out. And after everything you went through in the past, I didn't want to add to your pile of misfortune. I know you still feel dirty from what happened in high school. I know you've been cutting yourself again because things are overwhelming you. I know you drink so much to the point you just black out. I've known a lot of dark things about you. I just didn't want to be another cut on your inner thighs. I'm sorry Naruto." Sasuke whispered into his ear.

Naruto started crying loudly into Sasuke's chest. Everything he was trying to hide had been found by the one person he could depend on. Naruto felt at ease, but terrified. Sasuke knew exactly what Naruto had been thinking all these years and yet he still let him go.

" I should have told you the moment I knew. That was my fault and I apologize. But hearing your music and knowing the reason behind it all I just couldn't bring myself to tell you. I'm sorry." Sasuke continued to apologize until Naruto was calm. 

"Do you think we could start over? And be together for real?" Naruto asked rubbing his tears away.

"We were always for real. I'd be more than happy to be yours." Sasuke said and kissed the top of Naruto's head. 

The two of them left the alley and made their way to the nearby park to talk some more. Some things needed to be said and they had the whole day to say them.

After their long, deep, meaningful conversation the two of them went back to Naruto's apartment to meet up with Iruka and Kakashi to tell them about their new relationship. When they got there Saruto came running over to greet Naruto. The blonde happily took his baby into his arms and spun around. Saruto was giggling and screaming for more. While Naruto was distracted Sasuke spoke with Kakashi alone outside while Iruka and the others went inside. 

"I want to ask for your permission to marry Naruto. I know I've hurt in the past, but things have changed. He found out about the cancer, and he wants to work things out for the better." Sasuke said trying his best to stay strong in front of Kakashi.

Kakashi didn't hate Sasuke, but he sure didn't like him after what he did to Naruto. As Kakashi stood there quietly thinking Sasuke could feel the panic attack rising. 

"If you're marrying him because of the cancer, don't bother." Kakashi said glaring at Sasuke.

Feeling like the smaller human he was Sasuke stepped back, "No! Absolutely not. I still love him and I wanna be there for him like I used to be. We spoke a lot today and started going out again, but I don't want to just be his boyfriend anymore." Sasuke rambled.

"Ok, I'll give you one chance." Kakashi said before turning away to head inside. 

The moment the door opened the two tops could hear Iruka screaming about a wedding happening,
