"Dr. Bailey, can I speak to you about something?" Meredith asked as she caught up to Bailey walking down the hallway.

"You going to tell me what I already know?"

"What do you already know?"

"You and Dr. Shepherd are becoming Mr. and Mrs. Brady." Bailey responded.

"We are dating." Meredith corrected.

"And living together."

"We are roommates." Meredith corrected once again. "He has his own room in my house."

"Uh-huh. And when was the last time he slept in it?" Bailey asked. "Wait- don't answer that. I don't want to know."

"Anyways, me and Derek- Dr. Shepherd are in a relationship. That's what I wanted to tell you." Meredith stated.

"And that's all you want to tell me?" Bailey asked.

"That's all there is to tell."

"Ok. It's your business. You can tell me about the other thing when you are ready." She said flicking her eyes to Meredith's stomach.

"I will." She confirmed.

"That's good. So you and Shepherd, there will be no special treatment. And limit PDA. No one needs to see that."

"Sound's good."

"And you tell me if Shepherd pulls any of his old crap and I'll make him regret stepping foot in the lovely state of Washington."

"Will do Dr. Bailey."

"Richard, can I have a word." Derek said as he entered Dr. Webber's office.

"Sure, Shep. Come on in."

"Thank you." He said as he entered and sat down in the seat across from the desk.

"What can I help you with."

"I have started a relationship with one of the surgical interns, and I wanted to tell you before you heard from someone else."

"An intern?" He asked with an eyebrow raised.

"Meredith Grey."

Richard took a deep breath. "Derek. You're a good man, you have been since I have met you but I don't know what's been going on with you lately."

"I was going through a hard time a while back but I am good now."

"You're good except you are sleeping with an intern." Richard said.

"I am in a relationship with an intern." Derek corrected.

"And what about Addison?" He asked.

"What about her?"

"She's your wife."

"She's my ex-wife."

"Come on Shep."

"Richard, Addison and I are over. We should have been over a long time ago."

"This is a midlife crisis, in a few years you are gonna regret leaving your wife."

"I will not. This isn't a midlife crisis."

"It is. I've been where you are. I had an affair on Adele and it was the biggest mistake of my life."

"I am not you. Meredith isn't an affair, I love her." He snapped.

"And I have seen you and Addie since you were first married, you love her."

"I don't. Maybe I did then, but I don't now. And I can tell you and Addison until I am blue in the face but it's not going to change the fact that I am with Meredith."

"Shepherd." Richard sighed. "I am not going to stop you but, I do not support this."

Derek stood up. "I'll live." He sneered as he exited the office.
