The Accidentally Violent Escape
"Are you ready?” Sebastian asked.
"Tell me again why I’m following along with this idiotic plan.” I said bluntly.
"Oh, excuse me, I had the impression you wanted to get out of here instead of staying locked up in this dungeon of a room until you give into blood.” He said. “But if you really want to stay, go ahead.” He started walking towards the door.
I grabbed his arm and dragged him back. ”I meant, thank you, my knight in black converse."
He smiled, “Good."
He walked towards the door and yelled at the guard, “Please, help me, she's bleeding!" and then ran off to tell the other guards.
The guard entered in a furious rush but stopped when he saw I was standing perfectly fine in front of him.
I guess this was my cue. I dropped to the floor in "pain".
Better late than never.
"Oh, My God, it hurts so much! I’m dying! I’m bleeding!"
He didn't believe me.
"Oh, well, that didn't work.” I said and punched him in the stomach then upper cutting him, ending it with a nice soccer kick to the face.
Sebastian ran in with all the other guards.
I was supposed to be gone by the time they got here.
"Anneliese! I found you. I thought you were gone.” Sebastian said, annoyed. He gave me a look, in question as to why I was still here.
The four other guards looked at their fellow comrade on the floor and then started advancing towards me, the intent to restrain me, was evident.
Sebastian sighed and round-house kicked a guard, one by one knocking the guards out.. The last ran towards me while Sebastian was busy with the third. He automatically dropped to the floor and swung his foot out, making me fall,.
I locked my feet over his ankles and turned, my legs sending him face first onto the hospital floor.
Sebastian was still fighting with the third when I ran over and jumped and landed my feet on the guard’s chest.
Sebastian grabbed me before I fell, righted me, and walked towards the door.
The guards had called for backup because at least ten more men came running from the elevator.
"Can’t go that way,” Sebastian turned to the window, hooked the curtains as a rope and jumped off.
The guards were advancing when I ran at the window, grabbing the makeshift rope as I swung my body into a closed window (not the one Sebastian used) and breaking glass.
When I landed, Sebastian was watching me, “You’re crazy!"
"I left my sanity on that snow I died in.” I laughed maniacally as we ran past the shocked faces of humans and vampires witnessing our escape.
"So much for escaping unnoticed.” I said teasingly.
