"One by one!" You yell sitting on your knees as the animals around you gather and form a crowd surrounding you."Look! I bought the lychee fruit, which we all love!" A smile paints on your lips. Thank god you put the small bag of lychees in your pocket, otherwise the rascals would have stolen that too, like everything else.
Hamza, your lion cub, runs the fastest out of everyone despite his tiny size and jumps into your lap, soon trying to reach your face. "YN! First turn is mine." He says. "Give me some of that!"
"No, you arrived last." You say and hover the sack up into the air, so that the little but mischievous animal couldn't reach it. "Yn, I will take on my cosmic form and get it from you." He says in annoyance. "Yeah yeah, I know you will." You mock, laughter taking the best of you.
Hamza waits on your lap while you distribute the fruit to everyone around you, some to the flamingos, some to the baby monkeys, some to your camel, and finally some to Hamza. You didn't realise the amazing capacity of the small sack, until you notice all the lychees were finished, no more left for you.
"Oh.." you mutter, soon after sighing. "What?" Hamza turns his head upwards as he nibbles onto one of the sweet white spheres, licking the nectar off his whiskers.
"There are no lychees left for me.." you pout. Hamza stops in his actions. "What.." he says while turning fully towards you. "Take mine." He offers while pushing some of them towards you, you smile.
"It's okay, you have them, I got some work to do." You say as you place a kiss on his head, picking up the baby from your lap and placing him on the floor gently, you stand back up on your feet.
You walk back inside your room, the wide smile on your face wears off when you shut the door. Your face reflects sorrow and hurt, you longed for something you didn't know. You felt like you were trapped, you were trapped inside a cage made of gold.
Your heart was beating, but for no one. Until yesterday.
You slowly walk towards your vanity mirror, you run your fingers over the precious stones studded on the frame, which shine when you do so. Your gaze falls on the various scent bottles, jewellery of all kinds and metals, and your comb. Everything was made of such fine material, they said these were some little things which would sell for quadrillions of bags of money.
But they weren't anything in comparison to the castle you lived in, everything so luxe and unreal. Your lips drew into a thin line, as you pick up the comb under your fingers, you remove the clip holding your hair back as you brush through your silky hair strands.
The bristles of the comb massage your scalp which brings relaxation to your mind, soothing you. You hair strands are soft to touch.
They were showing no signs of any tangles, until suddenly you felt something get stuck in your hair.
The bracelet.
You try your best to get rid of the problem, hissing when it pulled at your scalp, it wasn't until you turned around and looked into the mirror which helped you unwind the strands from the threads of the bracelet.
You look at your wrist, gloom surrounds you. You felt like a dark smoke was enveloping you, which was eating you on the inside. You couldn't help but put your head down on the desk, your wrist in front of your eyes, as you turn your forearm to learn the patterns of the bracelet.
It was unusually beautiful. It wasn't shiny, nor did it have any stones like your usual jewellery, it was just a simple twine like thread loomed to form a braid. But you still found it so beautiful, it was so different than any other piece.
