"Please please get us out of this." You mumble as you clasp your hands together, standing firm in front of the deities. People walk past you while whispering among themselves.
Your eyes are shut closed, because all you can think right now is all the possible ways you can protect Jungkook from all the awful things that were trying their best to push their way into your life.
Your ears can pick up sounds of people rolling into the verandah and going out, sounds of people praying and fragrances of all different kinds of offerings enter your senses.
You can hear people chit chatting about your presence too. Some talking about how you're wearing such bland clothes for a princess, some nagging about how you're not fit to be a princess, some fussing over how beautiful you are, some simply lost in awe while looking at your build.
There's some who are excited about your presence, and there are some cranky ones too.
But none of them bother you because you're lost in prayer. Otherwise, you've never been very religious because you were never taught properly about, or had a first hand experience of spirituality, religion and practices- because you grew up all alone in that palace of course.
However, when it comes to Jungkook, you're ready to put everything aside and take whatever path it takes to keep him home. You cannot see him cry, you cannot see be tormented even the slightest bit, you cannot see his heart pain. It's inside your body after all, isn't it?
"Are you ready?" You open your eyes to see Jimin tapping your shoulder, holding a medium sized basket in his hand which he now extends towards you.
"Yes." You say gulping a mouthful of saliva in. "What do I need to do?" You ask as Jimin notices your tensed eyebrows. He sees the visible creases of veins on your forehead, the way your eyes flutter continuously out of fear and anxiety and the way you're trying to make everything normal and safe as soon as possible.
"Relax," he coaxes. "Jungkook is completely safe inside the palace. He insisted so much but we didn't even let him come out of his room. If the world didn't judge we would've tied him to the bed too. He cannot get hurt by breathing, okay? There's literally no one allowed near him."
Jimin says and you look down as you exhale deeply. "Repeating that for the tenth time now, but do you want me to speak more to convince you?" He laughs silently as he shakes you by the shoulder.
"I'm sorry.." you say covering your eyes with your fingers as you give them a light rub.
"Hey don't say that now.." he says. "Here, keep this basket in front of the deity of earth."
You look upwards to see a huge artistic wall which had carvings and sculptures of many elements of life- birth, nurturing, making love, parenthood, and attaining salvation or falling back into cycle.
On one side you spot many artistic elements- dancing, singing, martial arts, painting, all never ending.
On the other you can spot various kinds of sports, all those you had heard about. Some including animals too, like bull fighting and horse riding.
There's carvings about the relationship between humans and other creatures, such as livestock, pets, birds and the marine life.
Another group depicts many human emotions and qualities, such as victory, loss, leadership, brotherhood, friendship, work - they're too many to count.
And on top, in huge dimensions, were constructed the main elements of our livelihoods. The fire, the water, the air, and the earth- all represented by people or animals in different forms.
