"I'll miss you." Namjoon says walking beside you as you walk to your carriages. "You should've stayed longer, it feels too soon."You smile, laughing a little as you link your arms with your brother's.
"It's your turn to visit us there now. And it's so much better, no one to judge what you do."
"Haha yeah, I'd prefer a day off there." He says giggling as he pinches your cheek. "So, how do you feel now.."
"I'm good, was there anything wrong though?"
"No, but about you know.." he says itching the nape of his neck. "The thing taehyung put on you both.."
"Oh.." you say sighing. "The curse?"
"I didn't want to say that word out loud." He says pressing his lips together. "Sounds so ominous."
"It's okay, everything has been solved now.." you say remembering the last night and feeling a small smile climb up your lips. "As long as we have each other, everything will solve itself." you assure him.
He stops in his steps which lead you to do the same, and then he takes you by your shoulders to look into your eyes. "If you ever need help, don't be hesitant. I don't know why our lives had to be so tragic, trouble after trouble. I'm so regretful to not have been able to give you peace. You're one of my biggest responsibilities..and the way he haunts you even after all this while-"
"Don't worry about me Namjoon." You cut him off. "You know I'm strong, I am not afraid of him. And no, he doesn't haunt me. You have never failed in giving me the best life you could all these years. Infact, I'm glad I could get out of that curse instead of giving up." You hold his hands after removing them from your shoulders warmly. "You've taught me to be strong, so why shouldn't I apply your teachings when I need to?"
He smiles down at you, a couple of dimples popping up beside his lips. "You're my sister. I'll never be more proud of that."
You smile back as you both lean in for a hug.
As you hear his heartbeat in your ear, suddenly the flashbacks of a particular event pass over your eyes.

"Get a hold of yourself Namjoon!" A voice rings inside the young boy's ears. "How many times do I have to repeat everything!?"
Namjoon, the nine year old child shakes while his knees dig the ground, the veins in his hands popping as blood rushes under his skin.
He feels his sweat drip down his face and over those hands, he feels dizzy for a couple seconds every once a while. His mouth takes in shallow, panicked breaths and his heart feels like it will explode from how fast it is beating right now.
"Pick the fucking sword up!" The voice irritates his ears, the sound of his heartbeat overshadowing it. Before his eyes could get blurry once more, he feels a big hand grip his upper arm, jerk him up onto his feet, and leave him limping side to side in weakness.
"Pick the sword up right now." The eyes of this strict person pierce his soul as he falls back on his knees again out of lack of energy.
"I can't..please-" he feels his eyes water up when he emits a harsh cough and feels some dust particles in his eyes as well.
"No food or water until you defeat me." His uncle says kicking the sword in his direction. Namjoon sees his reflection on the lustrous surface of the weapon, the dirt that covered his face, the bags under his eyes, his heavily tanned skin and his trembling lips - all due to the gruelling training he was being put through.
"If you don't pick the sword up within the next ten seconds, you're going to face worse tasks and you're well aware of that." The middle aged man says in a stern voice, giving the poor boy a death glare. "Thirty tree climbs within the next ten minutes."
"Uncle!" He says joining his hands. "I've been practicing since yesterday evening without a single break, and it's already afternoon. I practiced all night and all I'm surviving upon is a single piece of bread that I got just before starting! I haven't even-"
"YOU'RE TELLING ME THAT?!" The man roars as he stomps into his direction. He harshly grabs Namjoon by his hands and drags him to the nearest bench, the scorching sunshine burning young one's tender skin.
"Take a seat!" The man yells. "If you don't win the battle that's taking place next week, you'll make your father die!! And look at you, you can't even put up with some sunshine??" He points at the sunburns on his skin.
The boy's eyes shed tears continuously, his lip quivering as he stares down at the ground.
"You won't even be able to steal and survive like your father, you'll be tracked down and hunted. It's not even going to be over after this week, you'll have to finish five missions as per the state's policy to free your father. Get it together goddamit!"
"Dear.." the man is cut off when Namjoon's aunt calls for him. "They've sent the topic of the battle for Joonie.."
The man awaits an answer as Namjoon looks up with a bleeding lip.
"A bull fight."
•
"You've worked hard.." you say, Namjoon smiles as he runs a hand through your hair. "I'll promise to do my best as well.."
"I believe in you." He tells you. "And now you both have started your own work here, I hope it's a good beginning!"
"Yeah, I'm excited! Now we'll have something to do and we'll have something we've done when we go back to the palace every night."
Namjoon chuckles once again, before patting your head. "I'm proud of you."
You finally wave a goodbye to everyone as you sit on this flying carpet, a new one which was made as a replacement for Namjoon.
Everyone's hands raise in the air as they wave back, you relax back into Jungkook's arms as he smiles down at the crowd.
However, something feels oddly familiar to the dream you had a couple days ago.
