"But we're not stupid- we know we're called Gred and Forge." -George Weasley

...

A long day of classes over, I read happily in front of the fireplace in the Gryffindor common room. I enjoy the solitude and the peace and quiet.

Unfortunately, it soon ends.

"Hey there, Rosher!" James says, energetically sitting below me, on the floor. "Whatcha doin'?"

"Ooh no Potter, you better leave." I groan. "I'm reading, you git! Just leave please, I was enjoying the happiness before you came."

"Ha ha, very funny, Raven."

"Raven?" I ask in confusion, unknowingly tilting my head slightly.

James smirks. "Yep."

"Is.. is that a nickname for me or something?"

"Yep." He repeats.

I sigh. "Seriously?"

"Seriously." He replies, smiling a lopsided grin.

"You," I announce, shaking my head, "Are a prat."

"Prig."

"Twat."

"Twit."

"Wanker."

"Chuffer."

"Nutter."

"Daft."

"Oh, piss off Potter."

"No thanks. Whatcha reading?"

I scowl. "A muggle book."

"Oh? I thought you were pure-blood?"

"Yeah, but I can read muggle books too, you know." I snap.

"Woah woah, calm down, Raven!" James says. "I wasn't trying to offend you or anything, I was just surprised."

"Yeah well, that was a rude thing to say." I scoff.

"Sorry, Love."

"Don't call me that!"

"O-kay, sounds good, Sweetheart." James said, smirking.

"Potter!"

"Sorry about that, Itty Bitty."

"Hey! I'm warning you Potter.. And I'm not short!"

"Oh really?" He says, raising his eyebrows. "You sure about that Angel?"

"Yes, and you best shut up James, or I won't be anything close to an angel." I growl.

"Yes, I'm sure you won't be." He said, chuckling. "So, how was your first few days of Hogwarts?"

"Good.. why are you being nice?" I reply, sending James a suspicious look.

"What, I can't be nice?"

"You can, but I didn't think you had it in your system."

"Oh shush Love. Act like that and I'll make a whole list of nicknames for ya."

I snorted. "Sure. Like you would have the attention span for that."

"Fine, I'll prove you wrong!" James says, getting up.

"Finally!" I mutter to myself, getting cozy in the armchair again. I start to read, but only have a few seconds of peace until I see Potter scramble over again, carrying parchment, ink, and a quill.
