"I solemnly swear that I, am up to no good." -The Marauder's

...

September went by quite quickly, and before I knew it, the trees were turning orange, yellow, and red. The weather became a crisp cool, and it was October.

Airana was thrilled when the Quidditch season began. Even better, I convinced James to let us (Me, Scorpius and Airana) watch the Gryffindor Team practice.

Unfortunately, the team was much harder to convince than James.

"Those 2 are Slytherins! They can't watch- they'll tell the Slytherin team all of our techniques!" The team captain, Thomas Brown, argued.

"Oh come on! No they won't!" Airana shouted straight back. "We just wanted to watch a Quidditch practice!"

"Well you can, but not them." Brown said snarling dangerously.

Airana's chest swelled with anger. Stomping over to Brown, her eyes flashing mightily, "Okay. Let's make a bet then."

"A bet?" Brown looks at her, bewildered.

Me and Scorpius share a look- we knew exactly what she was talking about.

"Airana-" Scorpius began,

"No- don't do that-" I say,

"If I can do a flying technique of your choice, then they get to stay, and can watch whenever they want." Airana said proudly.

Thomas bursted out laughing. "You? I don't think so, Rosher."

"Hey!" James yelled, sliding over and standing in between the two. "I flew better than half the team last year, and I still do. You let me onto the team when I was a first year, why not give her a chance?"

"All I'm saying is that she can stay all she wants. Malfoy and your brother though-? Nope."

"Don't you talk about Al and his friends like that." James snarled angrily.

"Well they can't just-"

"Y'know what? Fine. You won't let them stay, or give me a chance to prove you wrong.. So I'm leaving too then." Airana said. "Merlin's beard, you're such a childish idiot! You're completely prejudiced and you're being really rude.. Just because you're afraid of two tiny first year Slytherins! Are you seriously not confident of your team's flying that much? So much that you're afraid people could copy it? Pathetic."

Brown sneered. "Yeah okay, Love. Sure. You'll be rooting for us anyway, during the matches, so-"

"Don't call me that." Airana said threateningly. "And I won't be rooting for you. No, you're absolutely an insolent idiot. I'll be rooting for the rest of the team, but not you, thank you very much. I'm sure the other Beater is better than you anyway." Huffing, Airana turned around and walked away.

As me and Scorpius run after her, I hear Brown shouting at James.

"Tell her to come back and apologize!"

"Nope." James said cooly. "I'd rather not get smacked in the face, thanks. And what, you're a 5th Year, and she's a 1st. Too afraid to go after her?" He teased.

Scorpius and I snigger.

When we finally get caught up with Airana, she's complaining angrily.

"Stupid Brown. He shouldn't even be Captain! He's too rude to be."

"I whole-heartedly agree Airana, but you shouldn't have shouted." I say to her.

"Yeah.. I shouldn't have... should've just kicked him into oblivion instead." She sneered.
