Demi's POV

This morning, I woke up to the most beautiful sound. My baby girl was wide awake and giggling in her crib as she played with her feet and pacifier. I watched her for a few minutes through the baby monitor with a content smile on my face before finally getting up. I quickly washed my face and brushed my teeth before walking out of my room and down the hall to my daughters. After my release of my seventh album, I did all the work for it and after a couple years, I had to come to the decision if I wanted to release another album. After many discussions with my team, family, friends, and therapist, I realized that there was something more I wanted. I wanted a family. Even though I was single and didn't really have any plans on getting serious with anybody, I still wanted to be a mom, so that's what I decided to do. I went on a break in my career and put my name on a few adoption agency lists. After several interviews and inspections, I was finally called six months later about a woman who had just given birth and didn't want the baby. I was astonished at the fact that she gave up such a beautiful soul so quickly, but I was ecstatic at the fact that I could finally be a mom. I wasn't at all worried about the new addition and how it would be adjusting. The second she was placed in my arms, a love I have never experienced before came over me. This was my daughter and this is now my life.

As I opened the door to the nursery, my little girl immediately looks over and then pops up and starts jumping in her crib. I smile big as I reach in her crib and lift her into my arms as she cuddles into my chest.

"Morning my sweet angel." I whisper as I kiss the top of her head as I brush down her sandy blonde waves.

"Mornin mama." She mumbles back and I smile as she pulls her head out of my chest and leans to kiss me.

"Did you sleep good baby girl?" I ask as I walk over to her changing table and lay her down and she nods as she puts her pacifier back in her mouth. I quickly change her diaper before lifting her back in my arms and walking downstairs with her. "Are you hungry? What should we eat for breakfast?" I ask her as we make it into the kitchen.

"Puppies!" She squeals excitedly as Batman and Ella run inside from their doggy door and I smile as I set her down on her feet so she could pet the dogs. The one thing I was worried about after bringing her home, was the dogs reactions. I didn't want them to get jealous or feel left out. However, they reacted the complete opposite and instantly became her protectors. They always had to know where she was and who was holding her. It was quite the sight.

"You wanna give them their breakfast?" I ask and she nods excitedly as she looks up at me. "Come on then sweetie." I say nodding for her to follow me to where their food and bowls are. I help her scoop the food into a cup and pour into each of their bowls. She contently watched them eat with a big smile on her face, so I let her be as I walked a few feet away to start breakfast for us. I decided to make us some oatmeal and eggs with a side of fruit. While I was cooking, I kept a close eye on Mayla and the dogs to make sure they weren't getting into anything. Now that she's walking, she can be very sneaky and the dogs are all for it if it means they will get some food out of her which happens quite frequently.

"Mama." She calls as I start making our plates.

"Yes baby?" I ask as she walks around the counter and towards me.

"Hungry." She says and I chuckle and nod as I lift her up and rest her on my hip.

"I know. Let's get you in your seat and we can eat." I say walking her over to her high chair. I strap her in and place her plate in front of her with a baby fork and a sippy cup with milk. She doesn't really know how to use the fork yet, but I always give it to her because she watches me use it and I want her to eventually learn. Just as I finished eating and go to start cleaning up while Mayla finished, my doorbell went off. I jog over quickly to see who it was and when I opened it, I saw Matthew and Sirah.
