Demi's POV

After I left the doctors, Max and I went out to lunch so I can take this whole thing in and also gain the courage to tell Jay. I didn't want to, but I don't have a choice so the sooner the better. With that said, after we ate, Max drove me to his place so I could let him know. When we pulled up to his building, I gave myself one final pep talk before getting out of the car and walking inside. I got in the elevator and went up to his floor before walking down to his door. My palms were sweaty and my hands were shaking as I knocked on his door softly. I kept my eyes down on my hands as I anxiously waited for the door to open. I know he doesn't have practice right now, so he should be home. After a few minutes of no answer, I brought my hand back up to knock again, but just as I did, the door opened and I immediately locked eyes with Jay and he looked alarmed as he looked from me and back behind him.

"W-what are you doing here?" He asks stepping out and closing the door.

"I need to talk to you. Can I come in?" I answer and he shakes his head and I furrow my brows.

"Now's not a good time." He mutters.

"Why? This is important." I say, but just as he goes to respond, the door swings open again and I feel my heart plummet when I see no other than his ex, Raya, wearing nothing but a robe. My robe. I look back up at Jay with tears in my eyes as he looks down. "Never mind then." I mumble quietly as I turn to walk away, but I feel his hand grab my wrist and I sigh heavily as I look anywhere but him or his ex.

"Demi. What did you need?" He asks again in a soft voice and I shake my head.

"Nothing. I'll just leave." I respond in a shaky voice and I glance at Raya once more and I see a smirk on her face. I pull my arm from Jay and swiftly walk away and back towards the elevator.

Jay's POV

"God dammit." I mutter quietly as I watch Demi race down the hall.

"Come on handsome. We were busy." Raya says rubbing my arm and I shrug her off as I walk back inside and slam the door.

"Leave." I say sternly and she laughs just annoying me more.

"No. Come on, we were just like normal again. I am not leaving you." She says placing her hands on my chest the running them up to my neck before leaning up to kiss me. I pull away and walk away quickly as I grab her clothes off the couch and I turn to face her again to see her pulling down her robe. It's actually Demi's that they left, but I would much prefer seeing Demi in that silk robe then Raya.

"You need to go, now. This is not happening again." I tell her handing her clothes to her and she huffs loudly before fully taking off the robe and then getting dressed as I look the other way and out the large windows.

"That's what you said last week, and then I get a call last night about how much you need me." She says chuckling and I clench my jaw.

"Don't you have a son to get home to? Or is Anthony on baby duty?" I then ask sarcastically as I turn to face her again and she immediately looks down with a guilty expression. "I don't know what I ever saw in you. Not only did you cheat on me, but now your cheating on him. I wish I never met you. Get out of my house and don't ever call me again." I then say before walking back into my room and then my bathroom. I get in the shower so I can go to Demi's house because it was clearly important whatever they needed to talk to me about or they wouldn't of shown up. Once I get out, I get dressed and luckily Raya did leave so once I was ready, I grab my keys and head out also. It only took about twenty minutes to get to Demi's, and when I pulled into their gate, I parked the car and got out. I walked up to their door and I knocked and rang the doorbell. I still have their key, but I know the last thing they would want was for me to just walk in like I own the place. After several long minutes though, I rang the bell again and they still didn't answer. I pace back and forth for a few minutes before finally just grabbing the key and I unlock and open the door. It was like I was hit by all these feelings the second I walked in and I smelt their vanilla and lavender candles that they're obsessed with. I then see a few of Mayla's toys as well as dog toys spread around and I sigh heavily. I look through the first level before walking up stairs and to their room. As I got closer to Demi's room, I could here their soft sobs just breaking my heart. I mentally smack myself as I stand outside their door for a couple minutes debating if I should just leave. Before I even know it, my hand is on the door knob and I slowly turn it to open the door and I see them laying in bed looking the opposite way.
