Shoto's pov
I looked towards Aizawa when she leaned her head against my neck again. She was becoming very drowzy and I couldn't tell if it was just the heat from my body or something else. I shifted my grip on her to keep her up and she made a small squeak.
"Are you alright?" I ask, looking towards where her head was.
"Yeah. I'm good" she Mumbles. She seemed less invested in speaking. I look to the others.
"Hey. I'm going to take a quick break. I'll catch up" I tell the others. Iida opened his mouth to protest.
"If need be, I have my quirk to buy more time. The two of us will be fine" I assure them.
"One of us could take Aizawa if you need a break" Midoriya offers. I look towards her.
"No. I can handle it. Besides, she's been burying herself into my left side since she woke up" They look at each other.
"Alright. Just be careful" Iida orders. I nod. I place Aizawa on the ground. She looks around, eyes half closed.
"What-"
"Don't worry. I'm just checking your leg" I assure her, lighting up my left hand and untying my shirt from it. There was blood staining the fabric now. I looked at the wound which, although there was some fresh blood, it wasn't as much as earlier. It couldn't be the wound that was causing this if it wasn't worse than earlier. So what. Aizawa's head drooped slightly before she picked it up again.
"Aizawa?" I ask. She made a noise in response. I lifted up her head to get a look at her. She looked really sick. I had to find the source of this. I put out my flame for a moment so I could tie my shirt back on the wound. I proceeded to check her other leg and arms. While reaching around to check for any blood on her bag, something shifted under my touch. I pulled my hand back. Aizawa made a small whimper. I shift up so that I could see what had moved. There was nothing on her shirt. I gripped the bottom of her shirt and lifted it, shining light onto her bac. I cried out, backing away to the wall.
"What............ Wh...." Aizawa kept trailing off quietly while her head continued to dip. I approached her again and lifted up her shirt to look. One of those things we'd seen. Its legs were gripping around her sides where small trails of blood fell from. I gripped one of the legs and tugged on it. Aizawa made noises of complaint and more blood drippled down. It was gripping on tight. I contemplated using my fire but decided against it. I might hurt Aizawa in the process if I tried to burn this thing. My only option was to leave it for now and get help when we got out of here. I let her shirt fall over it again and got up. Hoisting Aizawa back on to my back, I began to walk faster to catch up with the others. Aizawa leaned into my neck again. I began running, still looking for them. The shine of the torch caught my attention and I came to a stop only to have the torch shined in my eyes again.
"Todoroki. Are you well rested?" Uraraka asks.
"We have a problem" my breathing was a bit heavier than normal from the running.
"Are you hurt?" Midoriya asks, walking over.
"One of those spiders is on Aizawa" Shinso walks up.
"And you didn't try to get it off" he accuses.
"I did but its got something on its legs that are cutting into her. It just made it worse. I couldn't burn it off either unless you want her to have burns up her back" he turns to the side.
"We need to get to the surface soon so that we can get her help" That sentence was followed up with a noise I couldn't associate with something I'd heard before. I turned around. My heart leapt into my throat at the sight. Another one of those creatures but even bigger. Maybe about the size of an elephant. Could be bigger.
