Shoto's pov
I was sitting on the bus when the person beside me shifted.
"Monami, would you mind if I layed here?" he asked me, shifting slightly again. I stood up and looked around for an empty seat. I spotted one and walked over. I saw Aizawa was sitting in the window seat, staring out the window.
"Do you mind if I sit here" I say bluntly. She lifts her head slightly.
"No. I'm not bothered" she responds, running her fingers up and down a small metal beam that sat in her lap. I leaned back against my seat and sighed. I looked to the side again but Aizawa was just staring out the window again.
"You like the scenery or something?" I ask. She jumps slightly before turning her head to look straight ahead.
"Well, no but there's not much else to do on a bus" she replies, leaning her head back in the chair.
"Well, you could use your phone"
"I'd rather not" she responds with a level voice. I look at the goggles she's wearing, finding it strange that she'd be wearing them before we even got to the rescue training. Examining them, I notice that they are quite high quality, maniactured to be tougher against blows. I knew about a company who made support items that were more durable but I didn't remember them having buttons or switches on them like the ones that lined the rim of hers. Strange. I shrug it off, maybe they're supposed to provide support in darkened areas like at night. Her quirk is well suited for sneaking around more than head on approaches.
"Are you looking at me?" she asks. I nearly jump out of surprise. I hadn't been expecting her to speak so suddenly.
"Uh no" I reply, looking at the window on the other side of the bus. It would be rude if I affirmed her suspicions. Unless she had seen me looking at her goggles for a long period of time then that would be bad and seem really creepy too. I didn't need a negative reputation in my first term.
"Whatever Candy cane" she responds with a shrug. I sigh at the name. She was really insistent on calling me that wasn't she. Maybe if I just pretend it doesn't bother me, she'll stop. I look at her again. She's slouching slightly in her chair. Suddenly the bus comes to a hault and I hit my face on the chair in front of me, rubbing my nose to try and make it feel better from the hit.
"Everyone off the bus. We have arrived at our destination" that one student with the blue hair and glasses Announces. Everyone begins to get off the bus. I stand up and follow, closing my eyes for a moment before opening them again. I look to Aizawa who is standing next to me.
"Don't be disheartened when I get a better score" I tell her. She turns her head to look at me before looking forward again without a response. That's fine. I'm ready to fight with all I've got. A strange glow of purple down the stairs catches my eye and I look. Some sort of strange portal. And people are leaving it.
"Stay back, thirteen, protect the students" Mr Aizawa orders before he leaps down right into the thick of those Villians. I can see Aizawa shifting next to me and look. She keeps taking a step forward then back again. Almost like she's unsure what she should do. A gaint cloud of purple appears behind us and I run at it, seeing the spiky blond next to me. I ready my ice but I just pass right through the mist, hitting the floor. I look around and realise that I've been teleported into a completly different area of the U.S.J. I have no idea where here is but I'll just have to find my way back. I can hear movement and look. A bunch of villians are all around me. Well, this is going to be a little trickier than I originally thought.
