Tamaki's pov
The first thing I took note of was the muffled noises from around me. I opened my eyes but I wasn't wearing my eyes so everything was just black. I pushed myself into a sitting position, wincing when the skin along my back stretched too far. I wasn't sure where I was but I wasn't in my room that's for sure. The bed didn't feel the same. Not as soft. I reached up to my head, thinking about what had happened. It was a little fuzzy, my memories clouded from the pain. I remember a villain attack but that was about it. Wait.
"Fuck" I scrambled to get out of the bed, sheets tangling around my limbs which resulted in me being a pile on the floor. I winced when my back skin ached. It was actually pretty itchy. The creak of a door alerted me.
"Oh Miss Aizawa. You're awake" I didn't recognise the voice but it didn't sound like a threat.
"Where am I? What's going on?" I pulled at the sheets to free my body. Whoever was with me pulled on them, tossing the sheet away somewhere when it had been detangled.
"You were brought to the hospital 3 days ago. You've been unconscious since then" I could here his feet turning to the door.
"I'm going to alert your nurse that you've woken and that it would be benifical to provide you with the required treatment. She can explain further" from the sounds of his voice, I guessed he was smiling. The door soon shut and I was left alone in this room. I got to my feet. Both of them seemed to be working despite my memories being filled with pain from an ankle. Then again my face seemed to be fine and I could move both my arms just fine. It was just my back and neck that were the problem. They felt itchy and anytime I moved a limb that was connected to them it made it sore. The door opened again.
"Miss Aizawa. I'm glad to see you are doing better" this person had a cheery voice, a smile practically visible even without sight.
"Yeah I guess" I muttered. She was approaching.
"We had some medical help but we were able to get most of your injuries healed up easily" something was placed down.
"If my injuries were healed then why am I still feeling pain?" the strap on my gown fluttered against my back tickling it before being brushed aside.
"Well you see we were unable to prevent the burns from scarring over. We did our best but all we could do was treat them enough to not harm you further" a cold hand made contact with my back and I shivered.
"Don't worry. I'm just applying some ointment. It should help with the stiffness and itching. Try to avoid scratching them for a while. It will make them worse" a cold substance was spread across my back and neck. I grabbed fists of my gown. If I had just said something then maybe all of this could have been avoided.
"Oh. You're family will be around later. They usually come around once schools let out. Its so sweet. You've got such a nice family" I could hear the smile in her voice again. My family. I'm guessing she just means my dads and brothers and maybe Auntie Nemuri. I really doubt my grandparents on dad's side would want to come to the hospital. They hated me. I'm the reason they kicked dad out in the first place and I never really spoke with my step grandparents since there seemed to be a strained relationship there too. The only other family member I really spoke with was my uncle on my mum's side and I'm pretty sure the only reason dad invited him over for big events is because he feels bad that he doesn't have anyone else to spend the holidays. After all his parents -my maternal grandparents- and his sister -my mother- were dead and I'd never seen him even try to find a partner but maybe he just wasn't interested. Then again I doubt he'd come to the hospital either. From the way the woman refered to my family, it defiently meant more than one person was visiting and my brothers have spoken their dislike of our uncle on various occasions. And dad does get exasberated with him at times and he doesn't really like my dad either. I think I'm the only one he likes in the family but then again he sometimes gets a bit too touchy with my brothers which is one of the reasons they don't like him. I guess I do have family drama like Shoto, its just with other members of my family, not my dads and brothers.
"Miss Aizawa, are you alright?" the woman asked.
"Y-yeah" I mumble, intertwining my fingers together.
"Oh I'm sorry. I totally forgot. This must be really frightening for you. I'm a complete stranger and I'm touching you and talking like we've known each other for years" I could hear her shoes hitting the floor. My gown was tied and she walked in front of me.
"I'll take my leave, be sure to avoid touching your back to avoid any further damage" her steps retreated to the door. I stood in place, unsure what to do. The door opened and closed as she left the room. I pushed fingers at my fringe but the hair fell back into my face. I sighed. Guess there wasn't much else to do but lie down and try to sleep. I returned to the bed, banging my knee in the process since I couldn't remember the exact location of the bed. I winced when lying down. It hurt my back. I rolled onto my side which hurt from the movement of my arms. I groaned. I just couldn't win with this one. I held my hands close, humming a tune to soothe my mind. This was not the place to have a meltdown. I didn't want to be labeled as insane or something worse. The tune was simple and easy to remember as I let the sound of the song fill my ears, allowing myself to relax into the bed.I know I went on a bit of a tangent about the Aizawa-Yamada family drama but I don't know when else I would get to do so.
