Part 3 || distraction

<time skip; 1 week>

Y/N's POV

Over the past week it's all just been about preparing, organizing and ignoring. How am I suppose to be able to concentrate when Jake keeps gaming with his friends! And he's the one getting mad at me for talking on the phone with my Dongmin. We rarely speak to each other, not even a 'hi' or 'good morning'. If we pass by each other in the common room no one says a word to each other. Alrhough there are times he tries to distract t me or grab my attention. I took my stuff that I needed for today and left the dorm leaving Jake.

I walked inside my building and searched for my classroom. I smiled excitedly taking my seat somewhere in the back. I wasn't gonna kill myself by sitting in front. There were still 15 minutes before the lecture started and only a few students are here. I plugged in my earphones and read my book.

As the teacher came in I packed my things away and got ready to listen. Looking around each chair was taken by a student... except for the one beside me. You know I can't even tell if people here are nice or not. I guess John isn't in the same class as me.

5 minutes into the lecture the door bursts open revealing a raffled Jake.

Professor: "late again Mr.Sim?"

Jake: "sorry professor" he tiredly said. Did he run all the way here?

Professor: "it's alright just make sure next time you'll be here on time... now what happens when a person obtains-"

He looked around for an empty seat and I avoided eye contact hoping he wouldn't notice. I heard a thud and I turned to it's direction seeing Jake get comfortable in his chair

Y/N: "you couldn't sit somewhere else?" I whispered yelled

Jake: "well do you see any other chairs here missy?" I curled my lip up and looked him up and down in annoyance. Can't believe I have my first class with him everyday.

The lecture went on and I was in my own world concentrating in taking notes.

Y/N: "the heck?" I look around to see who threw that paper ball at me. I turned to Jake and he was trying not to laugh "can you stop I'm trying to listen"

Jake: "tsk what's the point it's all in the book, just study later" he threw another ball at me but I caught it and threw it back at his face

Y/N: "stop! The professor might say something that's not in the book but might be on the exam. So let me concentrate!" I rolled my eyes so sick of his behavior.

I exited class as soon as the professor dismissed us. He never stopped bothering me the whole lecture! I just hope I was able to retain some information, I seriously couldn't concentrate.

A/N's POV

Jake: "hey y/n! Think fast!" The boy tossed his book towards her and by the time she turned around the book hit her stuff causing all of them to fall on the ground. The girl looked at the boy in disbelief. Is bullying still really a thing even in college? The girl bent down and picked up her stuff. As she was gonna grab her favorite book the boy picked it up first

Jake: "what's this? A love story? Let's see the title... What i-" y/n immediately grabbed the book away from him along with her other stuff. She walked away in a huff leaving the boy confused and also even more curious about her

Heeseung: "is that y/n?" Jake slowly got up with a grunt and sighed

Jake: "yup" he said with a pop for the 'p'

Sunghoon: "why'd you do that?" He confusedly looked at his friends

Jake: "do what?"

Jay: "why did you have to throw your book?"

Jake: "it's just for fun guys" he chuckled confused with why they were asking "why do you ask?"

Jungwon: "it's just that-" the members looked at each other hesitantly "it's just- you've never really paid attention to any girl before... even if you protect them from you-know-who"

Jake: "so? She's my roommate I could've had the whole dorm to myself but I have to share it with someone moreover a girl" he rolled his eyes "might as well make it hard for her so she'd move out" they started walking but the members gave each other secret looks not knowing what to think with the situation given

Jake's POV

My friends and I all had separate classes and when I was on my way to my class I spotted y/n talking to John

Y/N's POV

I bumped into John during my break and I decided to talk to him by the side of the hallway

John: "O M G gurl! I know a place where we can hangout for coffee so what do u say?" I chuckled and thought about it. My class ends around 3:00 today so I guess I have time for myself after we hangout

Y/N: "totally! Just text me- what the fuck?!" Some jerk pinched my side and before I got to turn around and see who it was they trapped me against the wall

Jake: "hey y/n~" I widened my eyes as he smirked while getting closer my face. I blushed hard and looked at him "awww are you flustered?" I gulped, my boyfriend doesn't even do this!

Y/N: "n-no"

Jake: "really?" He moves his face even closer so we were now 2 inches apart "how about now?"

Y/N: "the heck Jake!" I pushed him off and brushed down my clothes

Jake: "ha ha should've seen your face" he teased then walked off

John: "sorry about him"

Y/N: "it's alright" I sighed "anyway just message me later and I'll come and meet you"

John: "ok bye bestie" he blew me a kiss and walked off too.

Thankfully I didn't have class with Jake. After a tiring first day there wasn't much school work yet. I got a text from John to meet with him outside and also the address of the shop. I packed my stuff in my backpack and made my way out.
