Part 19 || spring break's over?

<after spring break>

Y/N: "oppa I have to go!"

Soobin: "fine, it's so unfair. You're going back already" He pouted

Y/N: "I was here for like how many weeks"

Soobin: "yeah but you were on the phone with Jake the whole time" he curled his lip up and rolled his eyes. "You barely even hung out with Dongmin this break" I said in a telling tone

Y/N: "he said he was busy" he sighed and made a mocking face

Soobin: "I'm telling you I don't like him just break up already" I chucked and hugged my brother

Y/N: "let's go you said you were bringing me right?" He nodded

He helped me carry my bags and actually drove me back to college. I messaged Jake that I just left since he told me to. He replied after a few seconds saying he was excited to see me and so were John and Enhypen. I heard Enhypen came back a week earlier than me. It was a 2 hours drive since there wasn't any traffic anyway. He helped me unload my stuff and brought it up to my dorm. I inserted the keys expecting my friends to be there but it was pitch back

Soobin: "you said your friends know you're coming back today right?" I nodded and turned the lights on

Enhypen&John: "Y/N!" They came out and all approached me as I caught my breathe from shock

Y/N: "guys, what the heck" we chuckled and they greeted me one by one

Jake: "bun bun!" He hugged me and spun me around. We inhaled each other's scent and laughed

Niki: "just get together already" I heard him mumble to the others but I pretended not to hear

Soobin: "you guys must be y/n's friends. I've heard a lot of good things about you guys" he shook each of their hands and we all sat down on the sofa catching up and talking about how each of our breaks went. Heeseung hung out a lot with his family, Jay said he learned a lot of new recipes from his dad so he was gonna cook for us soon. Then Sunghoon said he got to skate in his old ice skating rink with his sister, Sunoo said he hung out with his old childhood friends, Jungwon did taekwondo again for a while and Niki visited his cousins that were here. Jake and John of course were the ones hanging out since they were both left here. After an hour of catching up Enhypen left so it was only Jake, John, Soobin and I.

Soobin: "I should go it's getting late"

Y/N: "wait do you want anything for your drive back home?"

Soobin: "no it's ok really"

Soobin's POV

Jake: "no hyung, let me get you something. There's a convenience store just right outside campus. I could go get something quick for you" he was so kind and respectful. Just as I was about to say no y/n stood up

Y/N: "I can go with you" they wore their jackets and walked downstairs together smiling at each other the whole time. I sighed looking down

John: "I'm guessing you're thinking of what I'm thinking?" He asked with a chuckle

Soobin: "yeah... would you know if, well, do you know if they like each other?" The corners of his mouth curved down and shook his head

John: "I'm not 100% but I honestly think they do. The way they smile at each other, the way they talk, the way they just light up with the mention of the other persons name... they probably do"

Soobin: "it's that stupid Dongmin getting in the way. Honestly I never liked him" He sat up and faced me with a smile

John: "you know I never got a good vibe from him with the pictures y/n showed me" we chuckled and then stayed silent for a few seconds "so you're ok with Jake courting y/n? Like, if ever?" I sighed while smiling

Soobin: "he's a good person and I can see he makes my sister very happy. I mean not the kind of happy she is with Dongmin but happier so I guess yeah I'd be fine..."

John: "you think they'd get together?"

Soobin: "if Dongmin's out of the picture then yeah probably" After thinking about Jake courting y/n it came to my mind, when did they start liking each other? Like what was the trigger? "Hey, would you know if there was a trigger for them to start liking each other? Cause I remember y/n hating him before" he smiled

John: "funny you should ask that cause both of them hated each other at first" I leaned closer to him to listen better "I'm actually not sure what was the turning point but probably when Jake saved y/n from Minsung" I raised my eyebrow

Soobin: "who's Minsung?"

John: "the playboy of the school? The guy that almost raped her" I widened my eyes and stood up causing the sofa to lean back a little making a loud thud as it came back down

Soobin: "y/n almost got raped?!" I breathed heavily and stared down at him

John: "y-yeah around the first few weeks she got here... she didn't tell you?" I sat down while flipping my hair back. How could she hide something like this from me?

Soobin: "So, Jake saved her?" He nodded

John: "he said he went out to buy something and then he heard sounds and that's when he saved y/n. He carried her all the way back to their dorm and took care of her for the next few weeks since she was kind of traumatized" I couldn't process this information. Was that why she wasn't calling me so much the first few weeks she got here? I thought it was cause she was adjusting.

Soobin: "who else knows about this?"

John: "just us and Enhypen" I held my forehead absorbing everything he just told me "but you know..." I faced him "I don't think Jake went out to get something that night. I think he was trying to watch over y/n without being obvious" I sat up and furrowed my eyebrows

Soobin: "what do you mean?"

John: "I kind of overhead him mumbling to himself 'you don't care about her you just want to know where she is as her roommate' he kept mumbling that to himself but obviously he was just tryna to deny he wanted to make sure she was safe" so it was Jake who actually started falling first and then through his actions y/n started falling next. The door opened and I transferred my gaze. I got up and hugged my sister tightly

Y/N: "o-oppa? Are you-" I cupped her cheeks and kissed her forehead. I then turned to Jake and hugged him tightly

Soobin: "thank you for saving my sister"
