Part 4 || hangout

Jake's POV

While playing on my phone I heard footsteps beside me and I looked up to see y/n. I suspected she was going back to our dorm but it looked like she was looking for someone

Jake: "you looking for me?"

Y/N: "as if, no I'm hanging out with John if you must know"

John: "bestieeeeeee!" He called out to her from a distance and she bid me a quick insincere goodbye

I knew John was gay but I didn't feel happy nor sad when she went to him. I didn't feel anything in general. I shrugged it off and walked back to my dorm. I didn't worry about my grades, even if I don't try I still get high scores so I don't study that much. I just skim the book and I'm all good. I don't know I just recall the lessons easily

Y/N's POV

John: "so what do you think?" He waited for my answers while I looked around the cafe. It was amazing! It was so aesthetic, I'll come here often for sure

Y/N: "it's great! I love how it looks! C'mon let's go in!" I pulled his arm and got us a table

He ordered for us and the waiter for our menus leaving us to talk

John: "so" he smacked his lips and leaned on his elbows with his hands cupping his face "how was the pretty girls first day"

Y/N: "pretty girl my ass, but it was fine except my first class. Jake kept bothering me the whole lecture"

John: "that's him, his friends are fine but not him" I leaned forward and looked at him more seriously

Y/N: "why is that?"

John: "he grew up from a rich family so he kind of got used to getting what he wants and I guess you becoming his dorm mate ruined whatever plan he had" I leaned back on my chair and sighed

Y/N: "I didn't plan on making him my dorm mate either" I rubbed the bridge of my nose and sighed "anything else I should know?"

John: "be careful of Minsung he's the biggest playboy and he'll force himself on girls" I was sent a wave of fear across my body

Y/N: "why hasn't he gotten in trouble?"

John: "even if there are so many claims against him there's no actual proof he did so he's been walking around like he did nothing wrong"

Y/N: "so I'm guessing him and Jake are friends?" He chuckled actually no he laughed so hard making others look at us

John: "Jake and Minsung friends?! HAHAHHAHA" he smacked his leg repeatedly and wiped his imaginary tears as I shook my head in amusement "no way... Jake and Minsung are enemies, they're like cat and dog, black and white they'll pick a fight no matter what"

Y/N: "why? Aren't they both jerks?"

John: "even if Jake might be a jerk he doesn't agree with Minsung, he believes men should respect women..." he was about to continue but stopped

Y/N: "what is it? Go on" the food arrived and we thanked the waiter, took a bite and continued talking

John: "Back in highschool Jake was played by a girl because she was trying to make her boyfriend jealous with him. When it worked she left him like he was nothing. Jake liked this girl for a long time... so that's why he thinks it's not right to play with girls"

Y/N: "so he doesn't want what happened to him to happen to others?" He nodded, I leaned back and placed my fork down. I guess Jake isn't that bad... we moved on to another happier topic and got to know each other better

<time skip 4:30pm>

I bid goodbye and thanked John for treating me. It's still a bit bright and it's not that hot. Maybe I should look around for a while. I walked some more and explored the places around me. I stumbled upon this open area by the water. Since my college is near the sea there are tourist spots everywhere. I sat on the ground and looked out onto the ocean. Maybe I should start going here more often... I closed my eyes as the wind brushed against my face. I hugged my knees and leaned back feeling the wind. I sighed and slowly opened my eyes leaning on my knees with a smile on my face. I miss you oppa, I miss you Dongmin... I miss my family. Don't worry y/n just wait till spring break and you'll see everyone you love again.

<time skip; 7:00pm>

I rubbed my eyes and looked around. Did I fall asleep? I couldn't have been that tired on the first day... I brushed my thoughts off and stood up. I groggily walked back to the dorm ready to plop down on my bed.

A/N's POV

Jake: "awesome!" The boy chuckled happily after he got another kill

Jay: "hey where's y/n? She's not bothering you tonight?" The boy removed his headphones and tried to listen for any sound but there was none making his face fall into a frown

Jake: "oh sorry guys I gotta go, my fam is calling me on the phone" his friends awed but understood. He hung up and walked up to y/n's room. He was hesitant to knock but did it anyway "y/n?" He listened for your sound but he heard nothing. A few more tries and he finally decided to just enter. He was confused why you weren't in the dorm at 7:00 at night. No one has class this late at night. It's already dark out is she ok?

He wore his jacket and shoes trying to call y/n. Right before he stepped out of the door he had second thoughts if he should just let you be. Why should he care about you? That's what he was thinking over and over again. You ignored him for that whole first week yet he always tried to get your attention unconsciously. No I won't find her I'll just get a drink... he convinced himself but he knew there was a small part of him wanting to look for you

You sleepily walked back to campus but you suddenly tripped over your own feet. You placed your arms over your face protecting yourself from the impact but felt nothing. You opened your eyes and see a guy around your age catch you

Y/N: "I'm so sorry, and thank you"

Unknown: "it's no problem, I'd do it again for someone as beautiful as you" you smiled at his compliment yet you were cautious

Y/N: "anyway thanks again I'll go now" you started walking again but then-

Unknown: "hey wait" he grabbed your wrist making you stop "I'm going the same direction too maybe we can walk together?" You felt like you had to say no but the worst case scenarios rarely happen right?

Y/N: "uhh sure" you started walking with him and he striked up a conversation

Unknown: "so what's someone as beautiful as you doing out here?" He placed his arm over your shoulder and smirked at you. You felt uncomfortable but shrugged it off

Y/N: "oh just on my way home" you chuckled nervously

<time skip>

A little bit of more comfortable moments and awkward replies you started drawing near your dorm.

Unknown: "are you a student in ****?"

Y/N: "yeah I am you?"

Unknown: "me too!" He chuckled "if your dorm is there I know a short cut" he gestured towards a dark area

Y/N: "uhhh ok..." you gulped but followed him "by the way what's your name?"

Minsung: "Minsung"
