Part 14 || spring break

<time skip to spring break>

Y/N's POV

I was actually pretty sad it was spring break. I mean yeah I get to go home but that means being apart from Enhypen, John and Jake. I padlocked my suitcase and stood up. I brought out my stuff from my room with a little bit of frustration

Jake: "bun let me help you" I smiled once I heard my nickname again. He calls me 'bun' short for bunny. He said I looked like one, but until now I still call him Jakey. To random strangers it sounds like a pet name but it's not. Jake and I have gotten really close. We're practically bestfriends. We spend 24/7 together, well at least we try to. John's been getting mad at me for using my phone during class. Not my fault Jake always messaged me saying he's bored.

Y/N: "thanks Jake" he took my suitcase and rolled it out the door. "One last photo before I go?" He rolled his eyes with a smile

Jake: "y/n, it's not like you're not coming back" I pouted holding onto my Instax camera

Y/N: "please~"

Jake: "fine" he went beside me and I raised the camera up.

Y/N: "smile!" I clicked the button which followed a bright flash

Jake: "your camera never fails to make me go blind" we chuckled. I pulled out the film and waited for the imagine to appear. While waiting Jake spoke up "what happened to all our other instax photos?"

Y/N: "oh I placed them here in a small pouch. It's in my backpack. How about you? You might just be throwing it away" I pouted

Jake: "oh stop being dramatic, they're in a box in my room and look" he showed me the back of his phone "I kept our favorite photo here" I smiled seeing the photo John took of us in the open field in our campus.

Y/N: "wow Jakey here actually cares about our photos?" He rolled his eyes and laughed

Jake: "whatever, can you see the picture already?" I checked it and you could kind of see it.

Y/N: "awww we look so cute here" Jake faced me and I sensed him smile

Jake: "we do" he said but didn't even spare the photo a glance. I faced him and he didn't say anything but just smiled at me. He's been doing that lately. Just spacing out while looking at me. It's whatever I find it cute

Y/N: "Jakey you're spacing out again" I pinched his nose and he laughed

Jake: "oops sorraaayyy" (iconic i-land Jake 😆 )

He helped me roll out my stuff and even waited for my taxi to come. Jake wasn't going home for Spring break. He said his family was in Australia so he didn't have anywhere to go. I did invite him to come with me but he kept turning it down. Enhypen's going home for the break but John's staying here since his parents are also abroad (USA). My taxi arrived and I faced Jake.

Y/N: "you sure you don't wanna come? I'll wait for you to pack your stuff" he chuckled

Jake: "it's ok bun, I'll see you in a few weeks" we hugged each other and we rested our chins on each other's shoulder. My heart skipped a beat while hugging him. I forgot to mention... I don't even know what my feelings towards Jake is, but I kind of have a clue on what it is. I just don't want to admit it. I feel like he feels the same way but I can't expect anything... I still have Dongmin. We pulled apart and as Jake looked at me, he cupped my cheeks and tilted my head down. He kissed my forehead for a few seconds while I closed my eyes. He pulled apart and we locked eyes once again

Jake: "I'll see you soon" he opened the door for me and before I got in, I stopped and turned around giving him a kiss on his cheek. I closed the door immediately and the driver started moving. I look back and see Jake smiling while waving goodbye. My heart pounded quite strongly for a second. Why did I do that?! Ughh!!

<time skip train ride home>

I pushed my suitcase below me and took my seat getting comfortable. 2 hour train ride here we go. I looked out the window to see the beautiful sites in Korea. The bright early morning sun hitting the trees and flowers making them even more beautiful than they already are. I shifted my head down transferring my gaze to my phone. I opened my lock screen and it was a picture of me and Dongmin. I've been wanting to change it to one of the selfies Jake and I took but I know that wasn't right. I smiled flipping my phone and seeing the instax photo we took a while back. The one we took a while ago is in my pouch in my backpack but the one in my phone is my most favorite. It wasn't anything special, we were just making silly faces. I had my lip curled up and my eyes met in the middle while Jake's face just looked like a puppy. He had his tongue out with a smile and his eyes were wide like a dog seeing his owner coming home from work after a long day. I can't believe that we didn't like each other the first time. I guess we just had to give each other a chance.

I opened my phone and went to my album that was labeled 'College fun' I scrolled through several photos of Enhypen John and I. There were pictures of us eating together, selfies when we'd have movie night and also a selfie of John and I picking out a lipgloss for him. Towards the more recent photos they were mostly pictures of Jake and I.

There was a selfie of us eating ramyeon, one where we were watching a movie, and my personal favorite, one where we were doing face masks. I clicked on the video and watched it with a smile

*in the video*

Y/N: "Jake wait!" He was gonna smear all the clay mask on my face

Jake: "what? It says apply on your face" he tried putting on my face again and I moved back stopping his wrists laughing

Y/N: "not like that! Let me do it" we chuckled and I got a good amount of the green clay and placed some on his face "why do you even need this? Your face is already so clear"

Jake: "I just want to do it with you" he smirked and I curled my lip wiping more of the clay on his face

Y/N: "stop saying those kinds of stuff" we laughed and I applied more on his cheeks, nose, forehead. While I was spreading the clay out Jake was just staring at me the whole time while smiling "stop staring"

Jake: "when you see something pretty don't you wanna look at it?" He smirked, I rolled my eyes and continued applying more. I had to stop myself from smiling the whole time. My eyes trialed to his lips, and they were so red and plump, my eyes went to his eyes and then we just stared at one another.

Y/N: "oh uhh you're done" I chuckled nervously, I was gonna do mine but he stopped my hands

Jake: "wait bun, I'll do yours" he placed some clay on his hands and spread it on my face. The whole time was just laughs and jokes and a little teasing

I pressed the heart adding it to my favorites. I kept my phone in my bag and closed my eyes falling asleep

John's POV

John: "hey man" I plopped on the couch beside him expecting he'd turn to me. He ignored me and kept staring at something in front of him "hellooooo?" Still nothing "Jakey~" I smirked and that's when he faced me

Jake: "don't call me that"

John: "why only y/n can?" I hit him with my shoulder and giggled

Jake: "just- let's start the movie" we were gonna watch 6 Underground but when he pressed play I paused it after 2 seconds of it playing "why'd you stop it?"

Jake's POV

John: "what's up with you and y/n?" I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion "what's up with you guys, I wanna say you like each other? But then she has a boyfriend"

Jake: "pshhh why'd you think that?" I stood up to get some popcorn but I just didn't want him to question me about it. I guess I didn't want to because I don't know what to say... I don't know my feelings towards her

John: "you guys have been really close lately... you sure you aren't..." he made a hand gesture meaning 'you sure you aren't starting to like her' or something in that context. I sighed and shook my head meaning I didn't wanna answer "Jake" I sighed and leaned my hands on the counter

Jake: "I don't know ok..." I said in a calm tone "I'll figure it out" I walked back to the couch and plopped down with a sigh.

I didn't wanna admit it but- I think, I may be starting to like her? But I just- argh! I can't wrap my head around it
