Part 17 || confused

John's POV

Jake: "yeah I'm jealous" I held back my smile by biting my lower lip

John: "yieeeee!!" I teased and he glared at me "come on it's alright to be jealous, she's you bestfriend, you're just not used to her having fun with someone else" I was actually testing him to see his reaction when I said 'best friend'

Jake: "yeah yeah best friend" I rolled my eyes since I expected that reaction

John: "or are you jealous cause you like her" that's when he fully faced me

Jake: "what?"

John: "so that got your attention?" He rolled his eyes and picked up his controller again "look it's ok to be jealous because you like her"

Jake: "I don't like her ok" he faced me annoyed "I told you I was just jealous as her best friend, and anyway it's wrong to like her. She has a boyfriend" he put on his gaming headphones and completely ignored me again

You say it's wrong to like her since she's in a relationship yet you know in your heart that you do like her and you don't care if she's with Dongmin. You respect their relationship yet you can't stop yourself from liking her.

Jake: "she's not like the girl in highschool, that was puppy love..." he mumbled to himself thinking I didn't hear. I guess she isn't...

Soobin's POV

Y/n and Dongmin came home laughing with each other

Y/N: "thanks for today I had a lot of fun"

Dongmin: "no problem see ya" he kissed my sisters cheek and I stood up with my arms crossed. Tsk didn't even thank me for letting him go out with my sister. She looked at me with a smile on her face.

Soobin: "what did you guys do?" She explained her day in an exhausted way. Like she was happy about what happened but something was off "oh so you like Dongmin again?"

Y/N: "what do you mean? I never stopped liking him"

Soobin: "oh cause it sounded like you were falling for Jake and forgetting about Dongmin" I told her in a telling tone. As her brother she has to get her feelings straight.

Y/N: "oppa" she sighed "look I know what you're trying to say and I get it. I have to know what I feel but it's harder than you think"

Y/N's POV

Soobin: "ok I'm gonna tell you some important stuff and I want you to listen" weird but I nodded

Soobin: "you know you love someone and not just like but love someone when you smile without even knowing"

I was walking back to my dorm with John when he suddenly spoke up

John: "you've been smiling for 15 minutes aren't your cheeks hurting?"

Y/N: "I have?" I touched my face and poked my cheeks

John: "you haven't stoped smiling since we parted with Jake

Soobin: "You know you love someone when you can't stop thinking about them"

I tossed and turned as I couldn't find the right position. I just kept thinking about the fun day I had with Jake. When he grabbed my hand saying we were a couple at the restaurant. His little actions of kindness. Ugh! I can't stop thinking about him. I ended up falling asleep 2 hours later.

Ugh can't even concentrate in class. I groaned looking at the clock. What?! 15 more minutes. Ughhh! I wanna see Jake already, I have so much things to tell him.

Soobin: "You know you love someone when he makes you feel safe and secure" I've never felt super nervous around Jake. I mean there are times when my heart skips a beat but that's nothing right?

Soobin: "He reassures you to make sure you don't overthink things" I smiled recalling those times he always said I was pretty or he just complimented me out of the blue

Y/N: "ohhh"

Soobin: "now I have a question where your answer will be the answer to your problems" I furrowed my eyebrows and focused more on my brother. Answer to my problems? Whatever this question is I really hope it will cause I'm so tired of being confused with my feelings "who did you think about as I told you these things"

I widened my eyes and covered my mouth looking at my brother. Oh my gosh...

Y/N: "I- I thought- Ja- I mean-" I was at a loss for words and I couldn't form them properly "Jake was the one that kept popping up in my mind the whole time"

Soobin: "I guess you have your answer"

Y/N: "no! But- *scoff* that doesn't make sense" I grabbed my hair in frustration

Soobin: "love doesn't have to make sense"

Y/N: "no but- I can't love him!"

Soobin: "who said you couldn't?" He smirked and I threw my head back groaning

Y/N: "I'll have to figure it out sooner or later"

Soobin: "figure it out tomorrow for now let's do something fun" he got up from the sofa and headed upstairs without saying a word. Did he really just leave me here after saying we were gonna do something fun? I then heard the door upstairs close, and footsteps rushing downstairs. I watched my brother connect this giant bed sheet from corner to corner in the living room. I watched for a few minutes and he stood up panting

Y/N: "what are you-" he shut off the lights and turned on this yellow light that had a pattern of stars "oh my gosh..." I recalled our memories as a kid when we made a tent in our parents' living room and slept on the floor. Actually there were nights where we didn't even sleep at all

Soobin: "aww are you tearing up?" I rolled my eyes and blinked a few times spreading my tears throughout my eyes

Y/N: "whatever" we crawled on the floor and into the tent. We sat down and looked around. Everything looks so much bigger when the ceiling is a a few feet above you

Soobin: "wanna watch a movie?"

Y/N: "sure" he turned on the projector and pointed it on the bed sheet on top of us. The movie started and we just had to wait for the intro to finish. I sighed and dropped my smile

Soobin: "you ok?" He turned to me and I turned to him. I hummed in a questioning tone "I said are you ok... you're thinking about something" I sighed... again

Y/N: "it's just- I don't know why but... I miss Jake. I just remembered us watching movies like this in our dorm" it was hard to admit but I really did miss him

Soobin: "hmm" I turned back to him waiting for him to say something

Y/N: "you're not gonna say anything?" He shook his head no and placed his hands under his head

Soobin: "it's nice to see my sister happy again" I knew he was pointing out that I was falling in love with Jake but it wasn't that simple. I like Dongmin, and I like Jake. But these days I've been missing Jake more

*ring* *ring*

I checked my phone to see who was calling me. Actually no, who was FaceTiming me.

Y/N: "Jake?"
