I sit at Evan Chandler's dinner table and finish eating up supper. Evan's wife along with their kids and Jordan had gone to bed about 30 minutes ago, leaving Michael and Evan chatting. I was just sitting here consuming the last of my meal.

We were spending Memorial Day weekend here at Jordan's father's home. Today was our final day here specifically. He invited Michael and I to stay the weekend, and Michael being the kind person that he is, said yes. I was uncertain at first, we've already spent a weekend at his household before and it was awkward to say the least. I'm really only staying in this house again because of Michael. Dede is currently with staying with Katherine, I know she doesn't really like Evan so bringing her here would be pointless.

"I'll be right back, I just have to use the bathroom." Michael makes his way to the restroom.

Once the door shuts, silence is among Evan and I. A conversation between us hasn't ever been held before. It was mainly Michael and him speaking, me chiming in every so often.

"Well, how was the lasagna?" He questions.

My eyes graze over him. "It was good."

He nods in satisfaction, I stand up, grabbing my plate. He leaps to take the dish out of my hands.

"I'll wash it." He offers which brings a shake to my head. "It's okay, I can do it." He grabs the plate out of my hands, walking over to the sink. "You're the guest."

I give up, grasping my cup that was once filled with ice cold water. "At least let me wash my cup."

His face breaks into a grin. "Sure." I stand by his side, waiting for him to finish scrubbing the dishes.

The awkwardness is still in the air but it's slightly easier to breath now. "So, I just want to say thank you for doing what you've done for Jordy. He's a really great kid and I'm happy that he gets to do all of these cool things." He says as suds start appearing on his hands.

"It's really no problem. Michael and I absolutely adore Jordan. He's a nice kid."

All of a sudden, he puts my plate down and his eyes gape at me. I'm starting to feel uneasy and the only thing I want to do is get out of here.

"Yeah, yeah, he is." I see in the corner of my eye his hand gradually slips onto mine. I almost have the urge to vomit at his touch, my hand pulls away quickly and I toss the cup into the sink.

"What do you think you're doing?" My eyebrows are furrowed and I cross my arms angrily.

"Come on, you don't gotta tell Michael and I don't gotta tell Nathalie." He inches closer which has me stepping away from him.

I shudder in disgust. "I'll be upstairs, packing the rest of our things." I rush upstairs and shut the door, my breaths start to come out unevenly as I take in what just happened.

I knew there was something up with Evan Chandler, I should have listened to my gut feeling. I can't believe he was trying to feel me up with his wife and children sleeping upstairs, and Michael just a few feet away.

The toilet flushing from the first floor has me putting my sweater on urgently, I bring our bags downstairs and set them at the door.

Michael walks out of the bathroom. "We're leaving now?" He asks, fixing the fedora that sits on his head.

"Yep." I can tell he's wondering why I'm in such a hurry to get out of here, I'll explain to him in the car.

"Uh, okay." He slips his jacket on that sits in the entrance closet.
