Michael sits on the edge of Dede's bed while I stand beside him. "Goodnight, bubs." Michael leans down, pressing a kiss to her forehead.
"Goodnight, daddy." I bend down, pecking her cheek. "Get some sleep, okay?" I urge.
The little girl nods tiredly and flips over, closing her eyes. Michael walks out of the room, me right behind him. I shut the light off and close her door quietly.
We step downstairs and sit ourselves down in the living room. Michael turns the tv on, changing the channel to The Simpson's, we both watch in entertainment-well, Michael only really watches in entertainment. I'm thinking about how excited I am for tomorrow. Believe it or not, Michael has never celebrated Christmas. As well as our daughter.
We've always been so busy as a family that there was never time. And with Michael being an ex Jehovah's witness, he always felt like Christmas was one thing he never needed to celebrate so I certainly opened up the can of worms a few days ago. We both discussed Christmas and he said he'd be open to start doing it now that our daughter is getting to a certain age where she can actually comprehend the meaning of Christmas, I told him we could start celebrating next year and he agreed, I'm just bringing it a year earlier to him.
I am a bit overwhelmed with everything considering the events that have taken place within the last couple of months. But that's the reason why I'm doing this. I think tomorrow will really cheer up Michael and Dede will just be so thrilled, I strongly regret not showing either of them the wonder that Christmas is. However, it's good that I can start now.
I've been planning this secret celebration for a couple days now, Elizabeth and Larry will be arriving here tomorrow at about 5 am. I needed them to come extra early so they can help sort out the decorations. Michael is aware of their arrival tomorrow but he doesn't know we're going to do the whole 9 yards. We're gonna turn Neverland into a winter wonderland. The Cascio family will be coming here too, the Cascio's have been with Michael and I through thick and thin. They've been long term family friends of ours, Michael just happened to adore Dominic and Connie Cascio's two sons, as well as myself.
Topping it off, my own mother and Nonna are joining the party too. I haven't seen either of them in awhile and I haven't realized how much I missed the both of them. Now, for my own guilty pleasure, I also invited Janet.
She's been my lifelong friend forever so inviting her here is just a must. I can't wait to see Michael's reaction once he sees all the people he loves here. I hope he'll love it.
I shake my thoughts off and glance at Michael, he looks at me back. "What?" His face cracks into a small smile, a smile I haven't seen in a long time.
"Nothing." I take in a deep breath. "I just love you, that's all."
He pulls me into a kiss. "I love you more, my love. You're the best thing that's ever happened to me." I laugh coyly, hiding my face. "It's true. I don't know where I'd be if I didn't have you." I kiss him deeply.
"I don't know where I'd be either."

The alarm clock jolts me awake with its ringing noise, I'm quick to turn it off, checking over my shoulder to see if it awoke Michael. When I expect him to open his eyes, he just snores even louder. I sigh in relief, getting out of the bed as silent as I can.
